The timeline changed, the child Yixiang decided against going to taipei and being adopted (hence the name change) because he got the letters from Tianyu through the magic letter box. So he didn't join the gang, didn't meet adult Tianyu so he didn't have any memories of adult tianyu. He kept his old name.
Thank you, your comment notification brought me to this page and my first thought before I read my comment was "oh god i don't remember watching that".
I remember Golden blood because Gun is such a horrible horrible actor it was super painful to take that show seriously. That man can't cry even if you give him 1kg of onions to cut.
To say it was disappointing is an understatement. I do understand the limitations of some actors being underage and it's okay, Thailand does have a tendency to oversweet their dramas.
However half of the script here was just horribly bad, poor official translation did not help. Some plots were just boring, 2nd cp? Meh.
The thing I really liked is the Thai culture, like praying before the school and things like that.
One more thing, did Thai censorship get lax? Depicting members of military? I remember A Tale of 1000 Stars had to be changed because you can't do that.
