brilliant

Mouse is a gripping psychological thriller that dives deep into the dark recesses of human nature, exploring the chilling concept of whether criminals are born or made. The series revolves around a rookie cop who finds himself coming face to face with a mysterious serial killer. As the investigation unfolds, Mouse keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, blurring the lines between right and wrong while exploring the moral complexities of justice and accountability. With its intricate plot twists, compelling characters, and chilling suspense, Mouse is a standout in the thriller genre, leaving viewers questioning the very nature of humanity. This drama is criminally underrated; it is very rare to see such an elaborate plot that is put together so well. This was an emotional rollercoaster and will absolutely keep you on the edge of your seat every episode. The plot twists and misdirections will keep you guessing till the very end... Highly recommend to those who are looking for a suspenseful and exhilarating series.

a dark and gripping historical thriller

Fair warning, this drama is not suitable for the light hearted. Gyeongseong Creature is one of the darkest and most unsettling dramas I have seen so far. It explores the darkest side of human nature during horrifying times and some scenes may be hard to stomach.

That being said, this drama is an unforgettable and compelling narrative of the brutality of Japanese war crimes during World War 2. It is a terrifying yet gripping experience, as we witness the cruel and inhumane conditions of war fueled by the evil and greed of humans. The standout elements of this drama includes the cinematography, an outstanding cast and the high production value, as we have come to expect of high budget Netflix productions. Props to the production team who did an amazing job with the gorgeous set and costume design, both of which helped capture the mid 1900s era in South Korea during Japanese occupation. Additionally the cgi was good, maybe a step down from Stranger Things but solid nonetheless. As for the story, I found the writing to be intricate yet accessible, ensuring that even those not familiar with the history can follow the storyline with ease. The plot was well written and brought to life with strong performances, especially from Han So Hee, Claudia Kim and Park Seo Joon. However I will note that the romance seemed unnecessary and a little forced, but personally it did not bother me too much. In conclusion, Gyeongseong Creature stands out as a thrilling blend of historical drama, supernatural horror, and emotional depth. The series offers a unique exploration of trauma, survival, and the human spirit, while keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with intense action and suspense. The strong performances, especially from the lead characters, and the clever intertwining of mystery and supernatural elements make this show a captivating watch.

he won but what did it cost...? everything.

If you're like me and enjoy intense gripping thrillers with well written characters, I promise you, this series will not disappoint. The Worst of Evil is a crime thriller set in the 90s, where a detectives goes undercover in order to take down a dangerous drug trafficking organization only to discover that his wife seems to have a complicated past with the gang's notorious kingpin. The plot is very well written and does a fantastic job exploring themes of moral ambiguity and cynicism. The two male leads, Ji Chang Wook and Wi Ha Joon both deliver phenomenal performances and which really helps engross the audience and allow us to feel what's at stake for our main characters. Also shoutout to Bibi for her stunning performance as Lee Hae Ryeon, absolutely killed it. In conclusion, The Worst of Evil stands as one of the most captivating and well-crafted series in recent memory. From its intense, action-packed plot to its deeply layered characters, the show keeps you on the edge of your seat with every episode. The performances are exceptional, with the cast delivering emotional depth that makes even the most harrowing moments feel personal and meaningful. The writing is sharp, and the pacing strikes a perfect balance, gradually building tension while revealing twists that never feel forced. The Worst of Evil has a rare combination of thrill and heart, making it an absolute must-watch for anyone who loves a gripping, thought-provoking series. This is one of my favorite dramas of all time and I would highly recommend it to any thriller enthusiasts.

a big bloody hopeless mess

Gangnam B Side promised an engaging dive into the deep dark underbelly of Seoul’s Gangnam district, but unfortunately, it falls flat due to its poor writing and disjointed storyline. The series struggles to find its focus, hopping between the three main characters and plotlines without ever truly developing any of them. Instead of creating a cohesive narrative, it spends too much time shifting between viewpoints, which distracts from the overall story. Even after finishing the show, I found myself just as confused as when I had started. I was looking forward to this series, since a large part of the cast was recast from one of my favorite dramas, The Worst of Evil but unfortunately Gangnam B Side did not hold up. The acting from Ji Chang Wook and Bibi shines as the only real bright spot in this series. Ji Chang Wook’s performance brings a complex emotional depth to his character, while Bibi's undeniable screen presence dominates every scene she's in. I am looking forward to see Bibi continue to grow her career in acting and hope to see her headline more dramas in the near future. Unfortunately, their strong performance is the only redeeming quality that keeps this drama from being a complete loss. Sadly Gangnam B Side ultimately falls short of its potential, weighed down by an incoherent plot and an overwhelming number of underdeveloped and one-dimensional characters.

extremely dissapointing

I am sorry but I am shook the ratings for this show are so high. The plot has very little substance and it seems unsure of what direction to take. MC was an elite student then suddenly becomes a violent guy who doesn't beat people with his smarts he just beats them by grabbing the nearest weapon. I thought he was going to do some Sherlock Holmes, brains over brawl kind of thing but nope. That can't even be considered character development, that's a 180 change in personality with no explanation. Had high hopes for this series based on reviews but was shockingly disappointed.

just okay

I found the story to be mildly entertaining throughout with some thrilling and exciting moments here and there. Interesting take on a murder mystery revenge story and it had good potential but the ending was really meh. The "twist" at the end seemed really forced and didn't really seem flow well with the rest of the story. I really wanted to like this one more but the ending was written poorly and left a bad taste. As for the acting, Lomon and Jung Soo Bin both delivered stellar performances while the rest of the cast were either just decent or lackluster. In the end if you're just looking for something mindlessly entertaining and a good looking cast, I would give it a shot, otherwise it's probably not worth your time.

a fun watch

What really stands out to me in this series was the acting. I mean Park Shin Hye absolutely killed it in her role as Kang Bit Na. Honorable mention to Kim Jae Young, Kim In Kwon and Kim Ah Young who also played their roles really well. As for the plot, I am a big fan of crime and thriller dramas, so I did enjoy the revenge/vigilante motif and crime solving but the rest of the story was underwhelming. The overarching story was cheesy, predictable and a little stale. Oh also, the cgi is awful, so much so, that it's kind of funny? Nonetheless, the acting and cast still made this an entertaining series. While far from a "must watch", I'd say it's worth giving it a shot.
