to the people who kept saying "you all know that Lou Yining is only 13 and Shenyuan is 22 when they got married in the novel right?" Yea but the age here is different from the novel otherwise censorship won't let it past. that would be considered pedophilia if Shenyuan is 22 and Yining is 13 in the series, Here Yining should be around 15-16 and shen yuan being around 18-20 so there's not much of an age different for you people to consider it "freaky".

I wouldn't say we're hating on it. It's different from what we were expecting. For me, I expect her to have more of an internal struggles within the harem and established her stand as a powerful woman but no, she goes on competing with Princess Youjia all for an oasis. The last few episodes become a big mess and we have no idea about the plot anymore, besides it's really confusing because this is supposed to have "strong fl establishing her stand" it's been 19 episodes and the fl somehow become a pawn for NZ to get rid of the ML.

At this point Ge Xinwei (og Huang Bei Shuang) is the only bearable and honorable female lead of the drama, she has her priority straight and is only entangled with Rou Wen and being his only lady. Tho she is annoying for being like that to Rou Wen, she has her own dignity to uphold.

I don't how I feel about the lead cast Ren Min lol, I'm so used to her playing strong characters like her role in The Longest Promise and White Cat Legend, guess this is something new.

To me, love in nirvana is overall a chef kiss. Wei Zhao I wouldn't say he's a red flag he's just a trauma kid and one of that morally grey characters. Imagine planning a plan all your life only for it to be messed up by a woman and you can't even bring yourself to actually kill her. If Wei Zhao didn't meet Jiang Ci, maybe he wouldn't have died and the plan would've executed perfectly. If any male character who is a red flag here, it's Pei Yan. My boy was so obsessed with Jiang Ci that he can't bring himself to let him go. Ziming is the walking green flag in the entire series, my dude was prepare to betray Pei Yan for Jiang Ci's freedom. Jiang Ci's master is another one of those dumb and naive master character I don't blame her for wanting to safeguard Jiang Ci but the way she does it isn't the way. She pissed me off so much that I would actually slap her through the screen if I could. The emperor, I hate him for framing Xiao Haitian but he's not one of those princes that actually murder your own kin just for the throne and he's one of those broken villain.. But overall, yea the story plot, the costume, the castings is just mwah
