Ikr? I see some comments on twitter saying she's weak because she is crying a lot but I don't see that as a weakness.…
I hate when people call those who cry weak. So she's meant to keep all her emotions bottled up all the time? That doesn't mean your being strong, it's actually stronger to let yourself feel what your feeling.
Being upset because you're being treated terribly doesn't mean your being weak - they are the ones who are weak. The fact she hasn't let them break her yet is proof of that.
"even that clumsy fool can seduce Young Guk, what have you been doing".....that old lady is funny as hell.
She's not wrong, lol. The only thing Sa Ra has ever done was make angry faces and throw fits. She never once even tried to seduce him, hell, she couldn't even bother to bond with his older children.
I know people are hating on Anna Kim, but I'm wondering if she was suffering from some sort of postpartum depression. It's a lot more common than people think and can get pretty bad if not treated, and it's also something that probably wasn't discussed much back then. It sucks but it might have been the best thing she could have done for Dan Dan at the time, especially given her headspace. And we know she tried to check up on her once and awhile - but decided she had no rights and that Dan Dan was happy, and that was enough for her at the time, and didn't want to interfere with her life.
It just reminds me a bit of one of my mom's preschool students. The mom had serve postpartum depression and left when her daughter was still a baby but come back after she had gotten treatment and was better. There was a ongoing custody battle at the time (in which the father tired to use that as an excuse), but she's in elementary school now and I think the mom got full custody.
I like how she's handling it so far - helping Dan Dan without thinking of herself. I don't know if she plans on telling her - or just doing anything and everything for her that she can is enough for her.
It just seems in contrast to Sa Ra who doesn't seem to be putting her son's best interests first. It seems she thinking more about herself and I hope she steps back to think about that at some point. If she keeps going on like this she's not going to even be able to be in his life.
I'm laughing because is Sa Ra even trying to seduce him? Dan Dan managed to do it without even trying (probably because she was just being herself), lol. Teaming up with the stepmom he doesn't even respect seemed like a bad move. I would have tried to bond with his kids first (since they are the most important people in his life), then Anna Kim, his sister... literally the stepmom would be the last person on the list. Just the joys of family dramas. :D
I'm 100% sure that Dali has some kind of plan in choosing to stay with that scum. She ain't that dumb to follow…
I'm hoping too. She seemed to suspect him a little in a early episode. She's not the type to just give up and pick the easy path no matter how hard people beat down on her so. If they do have a plan Moo Hak is probably involved. They've been pretty honest with each other to this point.
I just hope TJ tries to re-propose and she throws the words back in his face. "I'll marry you, just do me one flavor. Be reborn. Into someone who is twice the man Moo Hak is." (The police could storm and Won Tak can arrest him afterwards, lol).
His whole family is complete trash and don't deserve him. And his stepmom acting like hot shit worrying about her reputation? As what a golddigging mistress? lol. Da Li isn't the problem it's your stupid son making stupid deals (although she isn't smart enough to realize that properly). Man, I hope at the end of the drama Moo Hak kicks them all out on the street. They can see what it's like when they eff around.
I’m a bit confused - I’ve not watched Kill Me Heal Me yet - I plan to - so the ML and FL characters are biologically…
It's confusing because I wouldn't really consider them siblings or step-siblings here. Basically they are both the results of outside affairs within a marriage, so they aren't biologically related, although I guess lived together very briefly when they were little and then didn't see each again for like twenty years. As I remember one of them wasn't even on the family registry. I'm not sure, it's been awhile since I've watched it.
Today ep was intense with more truths revealed about the leads. So many people want to put misery on Da Li just…
I was getting so mad but then I remembered my great-aunt said something similar to her niece not too long ago, telling her to butt out of family business because she wasn't actually related to them. (Granted her brother never legally adopted her but he did raise her and he's the only father he's ever known). My aunts granddaughter is gay - which makes me wonder if she would say the same thing if her granddaughters wife decided to carry a child? Would she claim that child wasn't her great-grandchild? I don't think so. People always suck. It worse when society is so obsessed with "great and grand" bloodlines.
Right, in the next episode his step mother even abuses Dali badly.
It's ironic. She's an orphan but your an opportunist who was having an affair with a man whose wife was dying, who pretends to care about your stepson but would sooner throw him under a bus for your own greed.
Won Tak is like a brother or friend ? I haven't watched today's episode . Why Ahn chak hee is annoying ?
He's not really a brother but he's more than a friend- they are family. They both came from the same orphanage and taken in by Da Li's dad. Won Tak might have a thing for her, but I doubt he's going to do anything about it. But he's protective and he's going to be. She's the only family he has especially now that's Da Li's dad is gone. And Chak Hee is bratty and annoying but she had no one except Moo Hak in her corner. She know he doesn't like her, but she needs someone so she naturally clings on to the only person that's ever cared about her and doesn't care if she's being shameless.
I'm not a fan of carbon copy remakes so I did wish they add some twists or something new to the plot but they kept it pretty close to the original. They did change up a few details that I really liked (him catching on a lot sooner and the onion instead of the puzzle at the end and even the problems they had in the last episode). I definitely liked the female leads personality a lot more in this along with how the members of the office treated her. I was hoping they would switch up the SML story a bit more because I wanted a bit more a happy ending for him (I felt bad for him in both version). And as much as I like Akaso Eiji it's still Si Won's version that gets me. The fast pace did keep the story from being too draggy - but it was rushed in other parts because of this. I think I also enjoyed the friendship between the ladies a lot more in the Korean version - they had a bit more of a ride or die kind of deal. Over all I didn't think it was that bad, but I'll probably prefer the original, but a lot of that could be with the fact I've seen it first, lol.
Just made me think of some of my own fav found family in dramas: Oh My Venus, Never Twice, Shopping King Louie, Thirty but Seventeen and Kono Koi Atatamemasu ka.
WWWSK was probably my favorite cameo appearance. I loved those scenes so much. I liked Lee Mi Ki's brief appearance in Shut Up Flower Boy Band as well, but I don't know if that goes down as a cameo or not because he was pretty important to the plot.
I'm still mad, lol. I guess the writer wanted to show her "doing it on her own" (I don't know why she had to cut everyone out to do that) but the reason she gave Ja Sung was just plain bullshit. She claimed she was doing it for him because of some stupid guilt because of how her father hurt him, but turned around and did the SAME FREAKING THING. She didn't just breakup with him, she moved out of her apartment, quit her job, and completely disappeared. (Ironic for someone who was upset because she thought he let go of her hand , when she did too except probably in a worse way). And for something that could have been resolved. Ja Sung didn't even seem that upset to see her father (it's something he seems to have come to terms with a lot time ago), just more surprised. And he was willing to work it out.
Nevermind I hated the stupid plot line with her dad to start with it. It was completely unnecessary to start with but who decided to introduce something like that in the last three episodes? I think I'm just tired of the 'my family member hurt you/your family in the past" so we can't be happy trope. It's just lazy.
(Your also telling me she didn't show up to her friend's wedding? It's a good thing Eui Joo holds grudges because not showing up to your friends wedding because you decided to go off the grid for some dumb ass reason is pain rude).
Also what was the point of all this home vs house stuff. I honestly thought it was leading them to build a home together, but I guess not, lol.
Maybe it's a good thing it ended openly, because I don't know if I'd want them to together after that, lol.
The one thing I liked about the flash forward - Joo Hee's (the mask intern) glow up. Damn. She's killing it.
