I agree with everything you said... Honestly after watching this i tried to watch Go Ahead and it just couldn't…
i agree in the sense that FBC romance was way better executed then Go Ahead.... i did not like the romance between the lead because they were protrayed as siblings or even close friends for like a good 20+eps and then suddenly the guy has feelings for the girl? at least for this drama the ML seemed to like her from the start like from skl time even if it wasn't fully romantic feelings it was kinda obv he looked at her differently compared to the ML in Go Ahead who acted pretty much the same throughout even the second brothers love life was better executed in this one then in Go Ahead which was a full mess and he didnt end up with anyone?
Go Ahead gets the family aspect of the story by far but the romance was super flawed
totally agree!! i got into cdrama's recently and heard this was one of the popular ones so i thought i'd check it out... im currently watching it and dreading it already
my major probem withi this drama is the acting.. the delivery of the lines from ML/FL and the rest of the ZJDX crew is so horendous to me it's like there just saying stuff withou any emotion. because of that i see no chemistry between the main couple so far and prefered the chemistry the FL had w her ex which was much better represented! i hope it gets better

i also feel like the male lead didn't actually "love" her... i think it was def a "crush" at the start or basically someone he got an interest in cuz of her cut of personality! it also was proved during the 5 year time skip... i understand he was way to preoccupied with his brother and his health which is why he cut off a lot of ppl from the set including her (even though his friend came to visit often he never acc visited anyone) means he never acc loved her... if u love someone u can find the time to at least msg "im sorry" or "i've been going through a personal problem" but he didn;'t even do that!!
i havent finished it yet hopefully they have better character dev!

i think thats beause it was her first time experiencing it!! if im not wrong she didnt have any prev romantic involvments w another man so she thought he geniuenly likes her cuz she kept turning him down / ignoring him -- things like that happen when u experience something for the first time. and im pretty sure she kissed him first

or maybe its because of her personality and trauma??? she made it pretty clear she gets uncomfortable when people get too close to her cuz she knows they will leave one day -- she gave it a chance with the male lead but it clearly proved her point -- and avoided the whole thing all together!
