I really am enjoying this drama - I have NO idea why it has such a low rating when there are demonstrably worse…
Yes, there are plenty of worse dramas, but no need to put down another drama to make your point about The Bride of Habaek. I personally enjoyed Vampire Detective, but understand that many others didn't for valid reasons. Which is fine by me, because I like what I like, and never expect others to enjoy something just because I do (although it's certainly nice when others are on the same page). In the end, it's all about personal enjoyment.

YSY is such a great comedic actor! His expressions are hilarious. I've loved watching him since King of Baking. And some of the side cast were a hoot to watch -- the grandfather, MJ, and the little girl. Would have liked to have seen more of them in the final episode. The drama was definitely fun...my only disappointment (and really only a little) came from how the mysterious past was explained with a twin Hyun Jae. I was expecting something more elaborate and detailed. The twin typhoon thing went right over my head during the drama. lol. But now that I understand it (thanks to the comments here), it was probably the simplest and best way to resolve the past.

Nice watch with interesting plot twists -- one especially that I did not see coming. All of the characters are frustrating to some extent, but all were shown to have different sides to them, which added depth to the drama. The only thing that got annoying after a while, is that the drama got a little too preachy about alcohol, and the "speeches" about regrets, lies, etc, sometimes made my eyes roll. Guess I'm too jaded. :)

i really liked this drama, and for the most part i still do. the acting/cast alone deserves a 10. but right now…
Disappointing indeed. But you're right....he could be the one following them. Didn't even think about that.

sigh. it's been four episodes and i can't help but tick off actors that would have been better suited for the role of habaek instead of nam joo hyuk. WFKBJ was a perfect fit for his acting personality and ability...this drama not so much. it also doesn't help that the writing isn't doing the drama or the actors any favors. i think the lead role needed someone more experienced/commanding, who could pull off the subtle facial expressions, mannerisms, comedic timing, tonal changes and personality quirks expected of a 2300-year old god. still crossing my fingers that he'll grow into the role as the drama progresses.

i thought the son had died too when i saw her visiting the father in jail wearing black, but then she asks him "what will happen to our si wan?" the subtitles could be off, but it seems like there's a possibility he's still alive?

Umm, can anyone explain the logic of that one scene with the phones, guns, bombs and stuff? You know, the one…
the ending episodes kind of threw logic out the window when it came to the kid. i finally had to chalk it up to the team being so focused on getting the father behind bars, that they overlooked what the kid was up to until it was too late. otherwise, they would have noticed him "evading" the surveillance cameras or managed to hack into his phone/computer sooner.

i really liked this drama, and for the most part i still do. the acting/cast alone deserves a 10. but right now i'm a tad annoyed with the ending. why the heck did the writer decide the last episode would #1 - introduce hints of a second season, which is not likely to happen, but more importantly #2 - give us absolutely no closure on psycho boy. is he dead? in a coma? in an insane asylum? wtf? i was really hoping that during the fall, the little monster would have been beneath prosecutor jang so as to serve as his cushion.

For reasons unknown this article was very entertaining for me. Is it weird that in all the k-dramas I have watched…
@Jeana -- while reading the section about tattoos, i instantly thought about g-dragon as well, and how he still has to enlist. probably bc while he has alot of tats, they don't cover a huge portion of his body. ie, a full back or frontal ala yakuza style.

the unlit cigarette! maybe because i'm an ex-smoker, but it drives me up the wall whenever i see actors holding a cig for what seems like forever, and just as they're about to light up, they get interrupted. lol. i think the only time i really found tattoo censorship distracting was in cruel city. the lead, paksa-adeul, had a full back tattoo that i think would have added to the character/drama if they had not blurred it out. but oh well..."them's the rules."

Just watched the first episode, a nice mix of cute moments, sad bits and funny bits, also bath scene. Definitely…
i don't have a fear of fungus, but even so, the mushrooms popping out of his ears and spreading all over the bed when he sleeps made my skin crawl. it's a shame, because i really like the story and acting. i'm with you -- i wish they hadn't gone the way of mushrooms. hoping they'll tone this part down a bit, but doubt it since i have a feeling this is what makes him tick.

i liked how satire is used to provide social criticism of animal farming and consumers. the movie makes a valid point -- people will inevitably buy what tastes good and is cost effective, despite knowing that what they're eating could be genetically modified or that animals suffer in the process of being brought to the dinner table. in the end, it boils down to economics. as long as there is money to be made and there is a demand, industrial factory farming will stay in business.

i see a lot of comments bashing SSK's acting... this is my first time seeing her fill a role and i didn't…
SSK isn't exactly a bad actress. she's done well in some of her roles, but just as bad in others. she's not consistent. like namopanik mentions, some roles suit her, others don't. and it doesn't help that she tends to have this blank wide-eyed look of bewilderment alot of the time.

the drama so far has this cheesy cartoonish element that isn't really working for me. which is a shame, because i was really looking forward to this one. i hope the drama and the acting gets better.

how the heck are they gonna wrap up all of the sub plots/loose ends (and there's alot) in just two episodes? ugh...i really hate when everything gets crammed into the last 15 minutes. hope it's not the case with this drama. :(

Title My Father Is Strange Spoiler
it's one thing if JH and even the family know the real deal, but now i'm anxious the secret will be…
@dramaworld -- i hope the writer finds a way around the secret becoming public as well, but then we would have to deal with everyone thinking they are half-siblings if JH and MY enter a relationship. it's not just a limited number of people who know who JH's father is. alot of people know -- the public relations team and lots of reporters, to begin with. if JH and MY were to get together, and as JH becomes more famous, it would only be a matter of time before more reporters and fanatics uncovered they were "half-siblings". for example, by looking into their family register, or classmates/teachers of MY's recognizing that JH's "father" is also the same father that brought her lunches in high school. it's not an easy situation to unravel, unfortunately, but i'm looking forward to what the writer will come up with.

it's one thing if JH and even the family know the real deal, but now i'm anxious the secret will be leaked to the public (like that picture), and make an already complicated situation even trickier to navigate. but i have a feeling that's going to have to happen in order for JH and MY to be together, otherwise they will be seen as half-siblings by the public if they decide to date -- even if they know they aren't related. ugh...what a mess, but i'm still rooting for them!
