I LOVED Strangers From Hell and Save Me! Could someone pls recommend other dramas with this type of dark intense…
not a lot of dramas with the same vibe as SFH or Save Me, but perhaps try priest, voice, or imawa no kuni no alice. taxi driver (currently airing) also deals with some pretty messed up/dark scenarios.
Great list. Strangers from Hell and Beyond Evil are definitely among my favorites. I haven't watched TWOTM and Penthouse, as I'm not a fan of makjangs. I prefer thrillers that lean towards horror and crime/investigation. I also recommend Children of Nobody, Cruel City, Duel, Flower of Evil, Kingdom, Stranger, The Guest, and Train. And these haven't finished airing, but Mouse and Taxi Driver have been phenomenal so far.
Thanks for the correction. I intended to write Swan Lake, as the linked page, don't know it became Black Swan.…
Agree. I've read on other forums that it takes a ballet dancer months just to learn how to hold their bodies correctly and the basics. So I wouldn't expect Song Kang to be able to do some of the more complicated moves. It's obvious, and completely understandable that there is a body-double. I applaud him however for his dedication to studying ballet for those 5-6 months. It couldn't have been easy!
I think traditional exorcism won't work on the demons since they're supposed to be evil spirits from the west…
it does feel odd to add a western exorcism element considering that Christianity wasn't introduced to Korea until the 1700s, and I believe this is set in the 1400s. agree that it would have made better sense to use Korean mythology.
As a consequence of the American Education system (yes... I'm well aware that not everyone here is from the US...…
i've become more comfortable rating dramas a 5, but my default still tends to be a 6/7. probably because if i was able to sit through 16+ episodes, it was "good" enough to warrant slightly higher than average. lol.
The timeline of the night of the murder is unrealistic in my opinion. Is it possible for one man to kill his daughter,…
i was wondering that myself. but jin mook has killed before, so he has probably fine tuned a killing/clean up process. for example, laying plastic down to catch the blood for less clean up. and possibly pre-digging that hole to store her as it seems likely he may have thought of killing her before he actually did it.
i really liked ji soo as an actor, but now i feel so disillusioned. he's been in the industry for a while so it makes me wonder if this isn't the first time victims have come forward, and that he or his agency perhaps paid off victims who spoke up in the past to keep them silent.
Also the -CB seems to detect her with a device. -On thriller, I think her father got blew up. -PSH and CJW were…
Right before the cop dies in episode 4 (the one that travels back to see his mom), he apologizes to Seo Hae about doing things to her that he shouldn’t have and asks her to forgive him for things he will do in the future. She has no clue what he is talking about. Plus, the wedding photo shows a timeline where Seo Hae and Tae Sul have met/married, but neither have recollection of it. So it makes me wonder if this isn’t the first time Seo Hae has tried to save Tae Sul. And that after every failed attempt, she and Tae Sul’s memories are reset and some sort of time loop begins again.
Here's what I think -the brother will probably be a mystery for a while-the deformed human are download error.…
Interesting idea that the deformed humans are a download error. Didn’t think of that.
Radiation can’t be passed from person to person, so it leads me to believe that the time travelers are infectious with something else from the future. But this is sci-fi so i suppose they could make the radiation contagious to suit the story line.
I’m curious as well what future Seo Hae comes from, and if everyone that is traveling, is from the same timeline. Or are they spread out across multiple timelines.
the drama is growing on me despite some of the unrealistic scenes.
i'm intrigued by quite a few things... - the brother mystery - the future world seo hae comes from (wish we could spend more time there) - the deformed humans/humanoids? (who/what are they?) - why some people who come in contact with time travelers become infected, and of what (do they turn into the deformed humanoids perhaps?) -it seems like this isn't the first time seo hae has gone to the past to save tae sul, why is she trying to save him to begin with?
anyhow...lot's of questions which i'm sure we'll become apprised of as the drama unfolds.
I usually give a drama at least one episode, but yeah...there are dramas you click with immediately, and others that leave you checking the clock to see if the episode is almost over. life is too short to waste time on shows that don't really capture/keep your interest. and besides, it's not like the drama is going anywhere...you might decide to pick it up in the future and completely love it that time around. this has happened to me plenty of times.
Nope it is written in the genres above also the tvn social media gave it away in the trailers, teasers, interviews…
genres in the synopsis are sometimes wrong and/or change as the drama progresses, so i never read too much into those. i rarely follow social media for kdrama, so on first take i rely on what i read in the MDL description and the main trailer...the impression was that it would be a more serious drama. that it isn't, isn't a problem, just not expected. lot's of dramas are like that. and sure, checking out the director/writers past works can be indicative of what they put out, but i like to think that sometimes they'll switch things up as they progress in their careers. i'll still continue to watch...like i said...the first episode was interesting.
