I've been trying to get through this show for the past two weeks... and I'm on episode 3. The FL is just not doing a good job in her portrayal of a grieving mother. I haven't seen her past work and she may be a wonderful actress but her performance here is very shaky and over the top. Will try to continue since so much of the comments are saying its a good show.
thought the beginning and middle part of the series was good, loved the chess match between kim hee woo and cho tae seob, but i felt the pace was a bit off in the end. Could have used 20 episodes to explore some of the characters and give it a more "gentle" end, still a good show nonetheless, would recommend. The romance end felt VERY RANDOM but eh w.e, Based on the ending is there a season 2 in the works?
Can someone explain the gay bar scene for me? Why did Kyoichi go there and start crying while there and on the way out? was it him trying to accept that he is attracted to men or something else that i missed?
Love love love this show, just finished it 20 min ago, so I may be suffering from recency bias but its currently my favorite drama. Just a perfect mix of thriller and comedy genres for me. The story, production, AND ACTING is top notch, the chemistry between the leads but also side characters is amazing. Also the cast is gorgeous to look at lol but really everyone involved in this project did a great job. Some comments on dramalist are a bit harsh, but if you're interested I recommend watching the first 3-4 episodes to see if it's your cup of tea. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
Just finished it and Jang Han Seo death hit me hard.. Anyone else wept? My poor himbo. Also speaks to the amazing work that Kwak Dong Yeon did. Hope he gets more roles cause that man can ACT.

This scene just sells the show, the moral and philosophical underpinning of this convo is at the heart of the show so far, I'm 15 episodes in.
What is self and to have an ego? If memories and our emotional reaction to them are a part of what makes us thinking and living humans, what about "artificial ones" that happened before a character gains awareness? Does every memory and emotion that happened before a character gain awareness count? These are artificial memories, but they make up the character & personality so can the emotions from those memories be trusted? i.e when dan oh thinks of her mom. If not, should everything before awareness be thrown out?
Characters like Kyung and Do Hwa are struggling with these questions while Dan oh, also struggling, seems to be of the mind that, no before one gained awareness it wasn't them so it doesn't count. That stance opens a pandora box for me and begs some questions, that from the comments on mydramalist tell me that the show won't answer or really explore, but can she say she really loves her father? What about her precious memories of her mother, do those count?
I'm really loving this show, reminds me of an the American show, WestWorld, A SHOW THAT IS NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY SO BE WARNED. It ask somewhat similar questions.

Love the show so far and of course my second male lead syndrome is kicking in lol. Really upset that I didn't watch this show as it was airing so I could gauge other peoples opinion on this.

I don't care what it is, but the real Dan oh isn't there. Kyung: You never showed your real self in any single moment you were with me? Then what about when you were a kid in that hospital? Are my memories of you real or fake? Dan oh: I have no idea. But I know this for sure, everything that Dan oh does in the stage from now on is all just what the writer wants. Nothing more, nothing less.
Awww a really nice series, nothing too deep and not as mature as To My Star or even Blueming, my two favorites, but its innocence and sweet. Will re-watch as the chemistry between the two leads is great. Sucks that Park Seo Ham recently started his mandatory military service & we probably won't see him in anything for awhile cause WOW is he good to look at!!!
I really liked this. A nice short story about two innocent but broken new adults trying to find themselves. It was lovely seeing Da Un and Si Won find themselves and each other while dealing with their childhood trauma. This is my third ML series and after the diaster that was My Sweet Dear i'm happy to have found another good series after To My Star. Love the fact that its by the same director as To My Star!!! Also as others have pointed DA UN VOICE WOW, the phone conversation he had with Si Won and even the smallest things he says like "Can't I?" he could whisper in my ear all day long!!
