Only my opinion but mxy is not my fav MLHe just listened his enemy's words and didn't come home for several days…
🤣I liked his reaction... the only thing I didn't like is him sending Ye Li back to Lishan Mountain, like bro, are you fucking serious😂 Most funny thing to me is his hair turning grey suddenly. Yes, we're aware of your genetic grey hair but in a short time, just because of a heartbreak, your hair changes colour😂
Ep 30. I do not like the ending of storyteller's novel. Hopefully it was done like that on purposely to make us…
Yoooh! Me too, I've been in denial since the day she was claimed to be "dead". I keep telling myself, unless I see her body, but for now, she's still alive😂
ngl, I was so frustrated with Ye Li for not explaining to Prince Ding after the accusations she made to the marquis. This was the perfect moment to let him know how her mother got involved instead of dragging on with the storytelling. For me, this was unnecessary, as many chances were created, but she never even told Prince Ding the truth. His reaction is valid, as what he had been told hurt his heart. From his perspective, he thinks Ye Li's mother is amongst his family's misfortunes, and now his family's enemy daughter has married him to repay the debt out of guilt. Even though they are in love, every action Ye Li did, like healing his legs and clearing his family's name, is not out of love, but out of guilt she feels indebted to him.
Talking about something else, anybody else felt that the marquis's sons were a waste of screen time? They didn't…
So true, I skipped the parts where they were especially the pampered son. I just couldn't bring myself to watch that character, he was soo annoying on my screen. Lemme not mention how most villains are unstrategic, mostly Mo Jingli, his plans are everywhere
am i the only one that thinks at some parts that the sound quality isnt that good? there has been a couple times…
I did find that too. Also, I felt Xiao Xun's voice kept changing wondering who was talking until the camera angle came back to him and I'm like, why is his voice changing now and then, which is confusing for some viewers like me.
I’m totally onboard with that! S1 is like the perfect pizza loaded with all the good stuff, and S2 is that sad little salad nobody asked for. Who can argue with those cravings? 😂 I have rewatched it multiple times and can't bring myself to rewatch S2
I think you’re the one making it weird. What people are actually annoyed by is the blatant shipping of Ye Xian…
I also agree with you about the actor’s portrayal of the character, and I think this is reflected in my point. My criticism is that people often overlook an actor’s skill in favour of attractiveness, which is wrong, and then ship characters based on the actors themselves or even on the novel. We have to remember that this storyline is adapted from a novel, so changes are inevitable. Besides, I have no issue with the real people promoting a drama, as that is part of their work. Character shipping and real-person shipping are completely different. The reason I brought up shipping is that it leads back to statements like, “they look good together,” which often causes people to overlook how well the characters were actually portrayed. I know your comment was not about shipping, but I think shipping and the failure to recognise his acting skills are related to your point.
i’m sorry, but people are being so weird about winwin in the comments. what do you mean we’re forcing ourselves…
I think you’re the one making it weird. What people are actually annoyed by is the blatant shipping of Ye Xian and Jin Zhao. No one is forcing anyone to like Ye Xian because of the actor, but let’s stop pretending the obsession is about good writing or deep character appreciation. A huge part of it is clearly the actor's attractiveness.
And honestly, if Ye Xian had been played by an actor people did not find good-looking, I highly doubt this ship would be getting pushed so hard. That is the truth people do not want to admit. They are not defending the character because he is well-written or morally compelling; they are defending him because pretty privilege makes people excuse things they would normally criticise.
That is exactly what makes this so irritating. People will hype up a bad or questionable character simply because he is played by someone handsome, and then act as if it is about the character’s depth. It is not. If anything, it just shows how easily people let appearance cloud their judgment.
There is nothing wrong with finding an actor attractive. The problem is when that attraction turns into glorifying a character who does not deserve that kind of praise, or forcing a ship that many people clearly do not support. Instead of appreciating the actual effort and skill that go into portraying a character, people reduce everything to looks and then wonder why others are annoyed. That is exactly why the criticism is valid.
ye xian wouldn't be half as 'loved' if it was portrayed by another actor, he is a terrible person and jin zhao…
Spill the spoilers 👀 Care to share some hot chai? ☕ I have to agree that shipping Ye Xian with Jinzhao makes no sense 🤦♀️, or maybe they like being beaten by their partners, and we don't know 😂. He can’t handle our FL and keeps acting childish. A different upbringing doesn’t mean the world owes him anything. Jinzhao is a loyal friend, and instead of appreciating her, he wants her to beg for help whenever he hears she might need help. Disgusting behaviour🗑️😒
My new couple pair is Xue Xing Lan and Ye Xian and I’m literally screamingggg 🥹💕 Please let my delulu ship become real and give them the happiest ending everrrr 😭💖✨
