Finally, a drama I’ve been eagerly waiting for! I’ve been craving something similar to *A New Life Begins*, and this show hits the spot perfectly. While *ANLB* was amazing, what sets this apart is that every couple here is absolutely HAWT (esp. the guys)! It’s exactly the kind of vibe I needed.
Yotha kissing P'Wa feels as out of place as Ploy kissing Vee in *Love Mechanics*—it just doesn’t make sense. There are so many other ways to show he had no feelings left for him besides resorting to a kiss. What was he even thinking? Unlike Gun, Mark in *Love Mechanics* actually gave Vee a real challenge and stood his ground. Yotha, on the other hand, just made a sad puppy face, forced a kiss on Gun, and somehow got forgiven instantly. Gun didn’t even bring up the kiss with his ex afterward! It’s all so frustrating and hard to wrap your head around.

I see where you're coming from, but a relationship isn't solely defined by whether or not there's sex involved. Many people in non-sexual relationships still view themselves as a couple, with emotional intimacy and commitment being the foundation. If those boundaries are breached, it can still feel like cheating to the partner involved, even if sex isn't a factor.
Wait, why are people already talking about cheating when nothing's even happened yet? Sure, it *looks* like things are heading in that direction, but come on. Cheating has been around forever—long before we were born and will probably stick around long after we're gone. We're just the spectators here. If infidelity dramas aren’t your thing, that’s totally fine—this kind of story might not be for you. But for me? I love the chaos. It's the kind of entertainment I yearn for. The messier, the better, and I’m not going to apologize for it.
It's typical. GMM always get hate rate bomb. Those haters don't have anything better to do. I'm enjoying the first 2 episodes so far...more so than the previous versions.
So far, I love it. Should've made it clear that P'Cir on the scene at the end (flash back) was P'Cir from the current world when he was in high school.
Im not gonna lie, when they were signing each other across the street before crossing the traffic light, it got me worried for a hot minute. I thought i was gonna get a modc ending here.
Finally, a foreign BL actor who can run lines in the language that's not his mother tongue (Thoes who went to InternationalSchool speaking fluent English dont count).
The first season had a cozy, homey feel, and I really enjoyed the lovely work environment it portrayed. The cases were full of twists and turns, which kept me engaged. However, the second season fell flat for me. Shen Yi’s character changed dramatically, and I didn’t like this new version of him as an artist/psychologist/scientist. He barely worked together with Captain Du, which was disappointing. I missed the old badass crime-fighting duo—their dynamic was much more compelling.
There were several cases that could have been solved without Shen Yi’s involvement, and it felt like the writers were forcing him into the storyline unnecessarily. Additionally, the show had been hyping up this season’s villain since Season 1, but it didn’t pay off. For me, he was just another villain—nothing memorable or standout. The 'painting under the painting' concept also felt forced and didn’t add much to the story.
Overall, the season was passable, but it didn’t capture the same magic as the first one. I won’t be rewatching it like I did with Season 1.
