Ziqi knew beforehand that he was from Qilin (?) Mountain because of the memory flashback he got. Then the dream sequence showed that the Marquis went to Qilin Mountain and fell in love with a demon. That, paired with the timeline when it happened and Ziqi's age must have been a reasonable guess to figure out he was the son. But I too am surprised the revelation was so calm and anticlimactic. Maybe the revelation of his mother will be more dramatic.

I think the more attention a dating show gets, the more pressure the participants get to couple up with someone and have their 'happy ending'. I'm not sure how well it was received in China, but Heart Signal S6 was quite popular internationally because of the couples. I can definitely imagine the pressure they felt of the last season's success and consequently, were more cautious of how they behaved on camera. So some agreed to couple up with the person interested in them to give viewers some cute moments, and because they may get hated on for rejecting. Only after they leave the cabin and actually can be themselves can they finally 'end things' because after the filming is over, nothing is holding them together other than true feelings. And you can't force that. If you do, the most you're getting is just some extra likes on social media.

Of course, having real couples come out the show is nice to see because it makes you feel like their sweet moments were actually authentic. I saw someone say this on the HS6 page, just enjoy the show purely for what it has and don't focus too much on which couples actually lasted in real life afterwards. Enjoy the heart fluttering interactions and move on, instead of trying to analyze if they were real or not. And that includes sending hate to the participants for 'tricking' their fans.

This has my fav type of romance, going from dislike to hidden soft glances and acts of service disguised with a mean attitude. I absolutely loved when Ziqi glanced at Miaomiao, grabbed her bag and walked away without a word. It's so much more satisfying when the affection grows slowly, and I love how Ziqi still tries to hide it by being fake mean to her.

Yeah I initially understood him when it came to having the intro verse and wanting to have more parts to have more exposure, but he kinda crossed the line when he started making snarky comments on Binghua and Seokhee's singing instead of being respectful and directly giving them advice, if advice was actually needed.

Mu Yao actually looks animated and quite literally unreal. I think it's the eye makeup and the natural shape of her eyes, it makes her look like she's actually a game character, which fits the theme of the drama lol. Whenever she's onscreen I can't stop staring at her because she's so pretty and has that ai style beauty. She was a great casting decision for the "main" female lead character.

Omg he reminded me of him too, but his looks are the most my type out of the men there lol. He's a much, much better guy than YW don't worry. Completely different personality.

Haven't seen the Leyan-Qingya situation yet because I don't have VIP, but I don't think we should be so quick to judge or hate any of these contestants, including Xiaomi and Muchen. We only get shown the short footage edited by staff, with music and slow motion added to dramatise things. They are in a very unusual situation after all-- living in a house with 11 other strangers and knowing everyone is there to date. Some people react in a way that's not perfect, but you have to remember these people are human too, and sometimes emotions cause you to behave in a less than ideal way. They don't deserve to be getting attacked for things like this when there are people who have done much worse-- literal crimes, and they get to live a normal celebrity life. From what I see, Leyan and Xiaomi both behaved like that from a place of hurt, and Muchen simply struggles with expressing himself. Does not make them bad people.
The only participant I have truly disliked on a dating show is the infamous person from My Sibling's Romance, but even then I won't go out of my way to send hate.

I like the two new male panelists. One's very lively and brightens the mood and one is very invested in all the couples and is quite charismatic, it's nice to see their interactions

I have never fallen in love, never experienced grief, but through this drama, it's like I was right there with Yeong and felt all the ups and many downs of his life. The pain of the goodbyes, the heartbreak of the breakups. The echoing loneliness, while embracing the small bits of happiness that come and go. I might not be queer, but I connected with the humanity of love spent and lost. It may just be my favorite Korean release of this year.

Honestly I'm a little annoyed that one of the trainees was put in the s-tier group purely because he was handome. He had mediocre ability in singing & dancing, and that lack in skill becomes clear later too. He should have been placed in A group at the most. Everyone in S group is supposed to be skilled in some sort of way, the only thing that got him there was his looks.

Their final argument/breakup scene was so heartwrenchingly done. Hong switching from Japanese to Korean as her emotions heightened and was at the peak of a meltdown. I imagine there must have been a sort of loneliness in their conversations too-- since they always spoke in Japanese. Which, logically, makes perfect sense because Hong knows Japanese and Jungo doesn't know Korean. But I think as Hong's loneliness and inner resentment towards Jungo grew throughout their continuous issues, she may have felt the frustrations of "I have to speak in /your/ language to communicate with you, but even then you won't put effort to speak to me".

A relationship works both ways. Jungo never communicated with her, never picked up her calls, never asked her how she was doing. She had every right to feel that way. I could say Jungo is selfish for breaking their promise and never even trying to spend time with her.
