This may sound sadistic but I was glad to see Gal Hee cry and suffer when the truth was unveiled because damn what she did was horrible especially with how she began to justify it as a "joke" and that the food was too good to pass on. I feel bad for Do Min Ik...I hope she truly reflects on what she did and that the next few episodes their relationship heals...
I started off this drama liking it despite its cliches and tired plotline, however, the cast is what kept me watching it as well as the storyline. But as the episodes drag on and we have already reached the halfway point and well beyond, the truth still has not been revealed. There still has been no actual development in the romantic aspect of Jeong Gal Hee's and Do Min Ik's relationship which sucks. It hurts to see DMI continue to be conflicted over JGH and fake VP... Istg the writer better reveal the truth in next week's episodes..
All ik is if the goal of ep 1 was to make the viewer want to continue the show it failed. Filled to the brim with…
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought this since it was so positively reviewed by a majority of the comments here and other places...the female lead's character had me not liking her and it's usually the guy that irritates me. So far I've only finished one episode of this drama and is tentatively on hold
honestly, its been a long time now and i dont think that we are here to judge...yes what he said was wrong but…
I read his "apology" but was left unconvinced about his changed behavior then. But it's been a couple of years so I'm willing to have a heart and forgive if he shows he has reflected in some form. Personally, I'll continue watching for Jin Ki Joo. Cancel culture is terrible in this time and age, and I'm not one to immediately label someone for mistakes. But I sincerely hope he has reflected on his attitude and changed as a person.
Wow honestly I was surprised about this drama. Despite its overused cliche story line, the characters and persona they present seem very fresh and enjoyable, even entertaining. I think that's why I've been able to watch through this. Guess I've been searching for the right light drama to watch haha
I hope she gets a lead role in a drama one day and hopefully with Yoon Doo Joon, they were amazing in Splash Splash LOVE together TT... Maybe they'll do an extended drama version of that movie
Honestly such a lovely movie, a beautiful love portrayed and the fact that they didn't kiss at all but showed love in other ways especially through hugging and glances, it really really brought you to tears of the love they had
You are right on the writer love to twist the truth just when you think you got it right. There are many instances…
Definitely a fun and thrilling ride for me as I watched this drama over the course of my week. I love the mind games the writer played on me and it had my sister totally completely puzzled and a little frustrated on the direction of what was happening haha
Found this drama on Netflix and was intrigued by the cast and having seen the poster on here a few times when I was searching for a drama to watch. So glad I took my time in watching this drama and really soaking in the pure genius craft of it. What is a beautifully constructed drama, many might miss because it is not of the romantic genre, however, those who are willing to give law and crime dramas a chance, this, THIS is the one to begin with. I read one of the reviews and was shocked to learn that this was the writer's first drama?! Having watched more than 40 dramas in the past 3 years, this drama has nailed on the head of what is a perfectly written and fast pacing drama. It is hardly ever stagnant and the complex nature of the dialogue and script is what kept me, as the audience, attentive and hanging onto every word. Because if you missed a line, you probably missed an important line that would lead you to the next conclusion. What is so amazing about this drama is that it initiates you to think and draw conclusions on your own while providing their own. However, even when you think you've gotten it right, the writer manages to evade this and completely twist the story in a remarkable way. The cast themselves have outdone themselves; the portrayal of good and evil sometimes were blurred and led me to contemplate on what is truly good and evil in this world. This has gotten rather long, but I hope those who are contemplating on watching this drama, don't. Just watch it and immerse yourself into the world of corruption but also hopeful justice.
I too gave it a similar rating though a bit higher, 7.5, and my score was based on the same points you brought up. This drama had potential and had such a good premise, but the writer just destroyed it all with insufficient story and character development like she did in W smh.. I just hope they'll continue with season 2 considering the ending they gave
