E2 reminds me of a recorded stage play, especially the staging in the scene with Hjikata, Sanann, and Chizuru. This was rushed and slow all at the same time. Makes no sense but that's how it felt.
Wait..hold up...Gorya's not her real name? lol I had no clue. Well, that's a difference right there. •continues reading• Ok done. I respect your opinions, but I don't agree...yet. They have not addressed the bullying well enough, at least not yet. Cyberbullying was fairly non-existent when the first 2 J HYD, orig MG, or the ill fated Mainland Chinese MG were aired. Cyberbullying came into existence w/social media giants so I don't think it could be addressed in the K version either. You can't assume Thyme's development is going to be better than the other ML in other versions. He is always an asshole at first. On the bad side the character is childish, opinionated, aggressive, and harsh. But he is also loving, willing to learn, fiercely loyal, vulnerable, and honest. It's the juxtaposition of these qualities that make him a great character. So far, no one has shown and developed this as well as the Japanese in the Matsujun version. The Taiwanese are a very close 2nd. There are differences that I've noticed, small yet significant, but you did not mention them so neither will I.
I feel the same way about Jerry Yan's Daoming Si! It's because he brought a lot of vulnerability to the role.…
The ML was written with issues to put it mildly. I think more than any other version Si had mental health problems. I remember it opening up some dialogues online. Honestly, I believe that's why Kamio Yoko put the violence, especially against women and bullying in her light novel. One can only hope it did so in Taiwan. Years later Jerry Yan bravely admitted his own mental health problem (I want to say bi-polar but not sure). It was headlines for like a day and then poof.
Not bad. It's Umizaru meets CSI and has a baby. Coincidentally, the first time I ever saw Abe Hiroshi and Ito Hideaki (Umizaru) was in Yasha. I'd love it if Ito made a cameo.
Well that ended fast. It felt like 15 minutes. My plan was to wait until next week so I'd have 2 episodes. I held out for 23hrs 24 minutes. * hangs head * I didn't remember the plan until the end credits.
I don't know why, but Bright's Thyme reminds me a lot of Jerry's Daoming Si. I think it might be the naivete and inherent gentleness they both brought to the role. ugh Someone tell me if that makes sense. Perhaps I've seen way too many versions of HYD.
e6 Gave me heartburn! I think he's killing himself by jumping into Ok so much. That might be why we see him tell Cha they need to stop in the coming attraction. It also looks like the boy sees Cha when he asks "What are you doing in there?"
Japanese entertainment companies don't invest much into live-action productions. I don't understand why.
There's a live action ofThe Outcast!!!???? I had no idea. I'm totally stuck s4e8. I can't find subs. The acting might be ify, but the cinematography, costumes, and cinematography should be excellent. Thanks!
just finished e5. I was right about grudge ghost, but wrong about why Ok sees Cha. He's been able to see spirits since he was a kid. I wonder if it's since the accident
