Though I have watched all the dramas, I finished UN last week and agree. It is very good and it does stand alone. They give you enough bg story that you don't need much to explain what's going on. You can enjoy it for what it is. The same probably holds true for another drama in the series called Tomb of the Sand Sea (Sand Sea..or ..or lol ) . They are my 2 faves. Wu Xie and Pan Ye are in their 40s or thereabouts and there are younger kids dragged into tomb hunting/raiding. Because the lead is a noob everything is basically explained to him which means it's explained to you. One thing all of them have in common is the beauty. I really would like to visit China more than ever now. I wish I had done it when I was younger and had good knees. :D

Yes, you must. One of my personal favorites is The Virus, but I like those kinds of stories. He was great in Golden Cross, but not everybody else was. They could've cut a few episodes.

Any suggestions where I can continue watching? I can't watch on iQyi anymore w/o becoming VIP. The subs I'm watching are poor and annoying. They call Qi Ling, Kylin. smh

Only in e2 and it's already better than the first half. Xiao Bai's stupidity makes her brave. She's trying to give me a heart attack.

I thought it was just me. I made it to 8 and quit. I thought maybe I had watched too many of the series back to back and needed a break, but no... still boring.

Does anyone have a link for ep 21 that has complete English subs? They cut out on ep 21. I've youtube and viki with 0 luck. iQyi wants money.

I think you at least to watch Mystic Nine and Sand Sea. I'm on ep 21 and I'd have a lot of questions had I not watched MN at least.

I haven't chatted with Alfred since Deadliest Warrior. I'm always looking to see if I see him in something. I never thought to look behind the cameras. Good for him.

Aside from Kim Sung Oh and Jeon Jong Seo, the cast means nothing to me. The storyline always has. I'll probably check it out after it's finished airing.

This is not keeping my attention. I'm only on e8, but had to re-watch parts of 6 episodes because I either fell asleep or started playing games on a tablet.
