my guess is that he is the illegitimate son of chairman BOK and the half brother of the CEO, thus the mom of the CEO is very adamant that he shouldn't have single woman work with him, to avoid repeating what her cheating husband did to her...

the third sister has a twin who is the gui fei in the palace (precious concubine or first concubine in the palace) and the one who xi Chao saw was the gui fei actually. the third sister is only taking the blame. actually the third sister and brother-in-law are very in loved couple.... and the gui fei is the evil one and partners with her lover who ML is has been trying to capture. that explains why gui fei (the twin) has so much power to hire suicide soldiers to kill xi Chao. and the llover cannot be easily caught.
2ml likes her and confesses around e10. she turns him down immediately though saying she likes ml. it's there…
the good thing also the 2ml is a v nice person and he helps her, didn't lie to her and even revealed who was the person she was looking for and more imptly both mls respect each other and will collaborate with each other..... so its a healthy short term triangle
