meh. I really like both leads. But this makes him into a puppy - kind of a dumb puppy. He’s a mimbo. Well, the character not the actor. I’m going to finish, but it’s not awesome. It’s fluffy, but just barely. And the second leads - why is she even mad at him!? What’s not to like - he’s perfect boyfriend material for her. The towns reaction to the main lead is … weird. Not sure for that matter why the FL is or was mad at the ML. 🤷🏻♀️
I watched all of the free episodes on IG without realizing it was a vertical drama or even that those exist! I was glad to see the ML in another drama but this is something else. I’m not paying $16 a week to prop up these trashy companies. I’m guessing they are using these leads to support legitimacy. I wouldn’t even mind the cheap sets and terrible supporting actors, but I’m not paying to have that kind of app on my phone. Sorry Sung Hoon, I’ll watch you again in a real drama ♥️
I like both leads. Started off cute and funny with a unique premise that combines Cinderella with a haters to lovers cliche with an office romance. Evil sister and troublesome father. Moms being friends was a great trope breaker ♥️ Sister element was simply plot convenience, was weird when they dropped that storyline - like they ran out of time. All in all an enjoyable watch with good visuals and heartfelt moments. Perfect? No. Groundbreaking? No. Enjoyable? Yes. Rewatch factor - I’ll probably rewatch as a comfort watch. Side note: most kdramas seem to fall apart at the end in my opinion.
It is a decent watch. Nothing gutwrenching. But honestly that’s what made it good. It’s a little bit too involved inside her head. But isn’t it like that sometimes? I like Seo In Guk, and I think he did a great job of portraying a much more subdued character. I haven’t seen her in many things but I think she did a good job.
Loving it! Episode 10 and it’s an easy watch - funny like a romantic comedy should be! - and just enough heart to make the chemistry shine. Love the 2nd and THIRD(!!!) couples ♥️
Just finished episode 7. For me a LOT of dramas have terrible endings, so I’m reserving judgement until the end. So far so good! I HATE romantic “comedies” that aren’t comical, but instead are actually very serious. So this is exactly what I want in a kdrama romantic comedy. Light, sweet, heartfelt, and funny. Don’t get me started on QoT or Missing Crown Prince - those were definitely NOT romcom. Yes I know it was named Queen of Tears but it is listed as a romcom!
Episode 6 - so far so good! I’m enjoying it - light fluffy and plenty of chivalry. The only thing that is bothering me are the weird cut offs/scenes that cut to black and then we are back in the same scene like we never left. is this some art nuveau thing? At first I though Netflix was just glitching!
Overall I liked it. The plot is messy at times, but no more so than any other kdrama. It was funny at odd times but that’s what humor should be like. I disliked the gore for the sake of gore, but I don’t like that period. I also didn’t like the lesbian theme as it did nothing for the plot and was just checking off boxes. The pure friendship was nice, and the villagers who helped raise her. But the fact that some villagers were not nice was kinda left like a dangling thread. I think they could have gotten away with three more episodes and fleshed out some of the confusing parts. However I will also say that most kdramas seem like they have rushed endings and leave tons of plot points just dangling with no wrap up. This one is better than a lot of them in that regard.
I would believe 2010.
But not 2020.

Was up in the air about continuing until the last minute or so lol.
But why oh why is it called confidence “Queen” when “man” is in the actual typeface of the title!?
Sometimes the korean to English title is just 🙄
Where will it be airing on?
