I just finished TTEOTM and I’m back here to remind myself that good xianxia did exist in 2023.

In S2 BLY joined the military and GH is a CEO of his own company. GH proposed to BLY and they both end up getting married in the last few chapters.

I watched this while it was airing. It has been awhile and I still come back to this page from time to time. This drama really left a memorable impression on me.

I love Starry Love! Also, I don’t always watch drama for their love story but this drama poster kinda make it seems like it and I was set on a love story plus everything has been really boring so far.

Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy but also a love story. This was not it.

I thought in this lifetime nothing will ever replace Eternal Love for me but man TSL is neck to neck right now.

I’m at episode 15 but I’m having a hard time pushing myself to finish this one. While I also enjoyed CXX’s acting here but the story is shallow and a little boring for my taste. And all the fake background setting is really taking away my focus from everything else.

Yes this is typical heavenly ruler behavior in Chinese Mythology. This is not new but maybe it’s new to fans who just recently got into Xian xia.

Did you end up giving this a try? After Starry Love I wasn’t ready to say bye to CXX so I watched him in Goodbye my princess. He was phenomenal in it but the storyline was so so. I only finished it because of him.

I can’t believe this is my 3rd Chen Xingxu drama within 1 week after falling in love with his acting in Starry love.

Episode 43 now and the ONLY reason why I didn’t drop this drama is because of Chen Xing Xu’s acting. He’s one of those actor that you hold on to every facial expressions. The female lead is also good but her character is not that interesting. This “love story” doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t know why they are attracted to each other and through out all these episodes I’m still not convinced that there are any feelings there.

I usually have really bad second male lead syndrome but the SML in still drama is annoying as hell and I’m ready for the writer to write him off.

I’m currently watching him in Goodbye my princess and he look much more boyish but god I can’t keep my eyes off of him because every face expressions he makes keep me guessing what’s really going on in his head. Such a complex character but he did so well.

I didn’t know who he was before this drama but I’m glad I discovered him because his acting was superb. I’m excited for his future work.
