T o me, this logic does make sense. As an ancient god with the highest power in the universe, tasked with maintaining cosmic order and safeguarding the three worlds, they should be able to detach themselves from earthly desires, cravings, attachments, illusions, and destructive impulses. However, I also want a happy ending for our main characters. But with the way this xianxia universe is set up, I don’t know how it’s possible. Maybe that's why I'm so attached to this drama because I'm curious about how everything will unfold and whether harmony can be achieved.

I think in this series, ancient gods aren't a creation of two people; instead, they were created by "nature." They were given the highest power, so in return, they are not allowed to have any more desires. Because they can abuse their power, hence Episode 24, and all three worlds will suffer.

Just watched the preview for episode 24 and this is why ancient god should not have desires. LOL

I think even if he’s not the only ancient god remaining he still cannot fall in love with her or he’ll perish like the other 70% ancient gods.

I must have missed it. I thought this was another serious drama like Princess Agent.

This drama took an unexpected turn from its initial portrayal in the trailer. Rather than being serious, it seems to have more light-hearted and fluffy moments. I’m interested to see how this story is going to end because I don’t know how someone with such different backgrounds like these characters can be together in the Xianxia universe.

It’s such a damn shame. I stopped watching Chinese BL for this reason. Especially the newer ones because of how strict censorship got over these last couple years.

I know it’s based on a BL I read the novel 3 times already. 😭 I just want to know if this remake play off as bromance or romance. Thank you for answering.

Did this series released in China or Taiwan?

I watched The Untamed first too but I preferred the chemistry and plot in WOH.

I got to episode 8 and just don’t have the urge to continue anymore. But can we appreciate how good looking Song Kang is in here. lol

The cast ensemble is what make me able to finish the entire series. However, I find the plot to be lacking depth and development. It was truly a waste of time and talent.

The rating doesn’t do it justice. The drama was enjoyable. It’s fun to see different takes on what happened during the power struggles between the princes. Usually 4th prince is portrayed more ambiguous than he is in here. Also, the love story between the main leads are kinda sweet. Worth watching.

The year is coming to an end and I’m coming back here to do an appreciation post because The Starry Love was the best drama in 2023 to me. Thank you for the 40 funny and exciting episodes.

Gu Jiu Si is such a sweet husband. He always know the right words to say to make his wife feel better. Where does one find a GJS?

To each their own but the ending is the reason why this drama left such a deep impression on me.
