I am right there with you! It’s so hard to watch Mu Mu do all the chasing when we know how much they belong together. I understand Jin Zhao is struggling with his self-esteem after the accident, but at some point, he has to realize that pushing her away is causing more pain than his injury ever could.

Mu Mu’s loyalty is unmatched, and JZ needs to start trusting that their bond is stronger than his fears. Fingers crossed they finally get it sorted!

the old jin zhao would hate to the new jin zhao.bc wdym you just said that absolute heartbreaking line to the…
You hit the nail on the head. That line in the trailer about the sun and moon was absolutely gut-wrenching, but also so infuriating. It’s the peak of 'noble idiocy.' By deciding what was best for Mumu without actually asking her, he stripped her of her choice.

If I were in Mumu’s position, I’d be devastated not just by the accident, but by the lack of trust. To know that the person you love thinks so little of your strength that they’d rather disappear for six years than let you support them? That’s a hard pill to swallow. Like you said, Mumu is the one doing all the heavy lifting now, and at some point, Jin Zhao needs to stop 'protecting' her and start respecting her .

You can’t build a future with someone who disappears the moment things get dark!!!!!!!!

For those who dislike Jin Zhao or think the breakup was unnecessary, episodes 23 and 24 will change your mind.Imagine…
I completely agree. Episodes 23 and 24 really reframed his character for me. It wasn't about being selfish; it was a heartbreaking act of self-sacrifice. He’d rather have her hate him and be free than have her pity him and be burdened.

However, I’m still struggling with the 6-year gap. Even if he wanted her to move on, six years feels excessive, especially since we saw him making progress during his rehab in Thailand. It’s a double-edged sword—he protected her from his immediate suffering, but in doing so, he put Mumu through years of unnecessary heartache. He wanted the best for her, but at what cost?

I know most of us are angry at Jin Zhao for being an abandoner while also being in love with Mumu but for a second…
Yeah exactly! The only thing that i'm unable to wrap my head around is the separation arc of 6 years!! They could have reduced the time in half when Jin zhao was already showing improvement when he was doing his rehabilitation in Thailand .

typical modern cdrama writer's behaviour 🤷‍♀️ Long separation arc for no justifiable reason at all 🙆‍♀️
for real, like i understand that the plot needs them to grow but 6 years feels logically inconsistent . Zhao was already working so hard on his recovery in Thailand and seeing results—why keep them apart for over half a decade?? Six years is just too much angst for my heart to handle rn!!!!

Just finished watching Episodes 21 & 22 and I’m honestly feeling so empty right now. My heart is just heavy for both of them; the acting was raw and the pain felt incredibly real today.

However, I’m feeling really conflicted about the 6-year separation arc. To be honest, it doesn't make much sense to me—it feels a bit forced and excessive. Zhao’s leg was already showing signs of improvement back when he was doing his rehabilitation in Thailand, so why keep them apart for over half a decade?🙂 They could have easily reduced the time jump and still shown their growth. Six years is a lifetime of missed moments, and it’s hard to wrap my head around why the writers felt it needed to be that long💔. Anyone else also struggling to justify the timeline !!???

The hate Esther is getting for Speed and Love is reaching laughable levels. People are mad that she’s acting... exactly like her character? A naive 20-year-old isn't supposed to be a master of romance; she's playing the role with perfect accuracy to the source material. Also, chemistry requires two people—He Yu is amazing, but he’s able to be that 'cool' because Esther is the perfect counterpart to his energy.

It’s time to stop discrediting her hard work and the crew's efforts just to be negative. And honestly, if you can't stop hating on her or if you just don't like her, then simply stop watching the drama. Go and watch something that matches your taste instead of spreading hate here. Life is too short to spend it nitpicking a performance that is clearly doing justice to the novel .

I have not seen any of He Yu’s dramas where he played main lead before this one, and he definitely blew me away…
I couldn't agree more! It’s so refreshing to see someone acknowledge that chemistry is a two-way street. He Yu is a revelation as Zhao Zhao, but you're 100% right—it wouldn't work if Esther wasn't mirroring that energy perfectly. They both bring out the best in each other. Let’s keep enjoying this gem and ignore the noise! 🥂
