Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
Does anyone hate Ms. Yeo's ex-husband [Mr. Chang or whatever?]. He is insufferable, his hairstyle bothers me [Not shitting on the actor here, but on the godawful hairstyle] and I sincerely wish the screen time dedicated to him was given to Oh Yoon and his daughter instead or anyone else, maybe the 2ML and "Writer Wang", or Ms. Pyo and the cute cop she likes.

On a more positive note, the couple in this krama is so cute. I love how we get to see BOTH of them slowly falling for each other, with Dr. Dimples becoming less spiky and reclusive because of him and Chief Dimples becoming less judgy because of her.

Like it better than 1997 but damn, why can’t they come up with a better hairstyle and outfit for FL? She looks…
Dogshit hairstyles for FLs are a staple in the Reply series.

Why does romance in Korean drama not feel as good as it does in Chinese drama?
What do you dislike about romance in kdramas?

Title My Demon Spoiler
I am on episode 4, and I really like the two leads. The FL is not as expressive as I would have liked, but I will…
On episode 11, and it is nice to see the secondary leads finally becoming somewhat likeable. The 2FL seeing the ML as her "mother bird" and the 2ML seemingly settling down on the role of a cousin for the FL is reassuring.

There is already Madam Ju's firstborn [and his son, maybe his traumatized wife later also?] as big time antagonists, not to mention God herself is shady as hell, after all. I find it suffocating to watch dramas where half the characters are against the leads or doing something selfish they think will benefit the leads [like with the secondary leads almost killing the two leads earlier].

I said earlier that I hope the leads' romanced paid off, and... it did not, really. They do not make my heart flutter :( But, it is not like the romance is bad, either. I like that they very clearly and obviously like each other. It is not always the case in dramas.

Happiness (2021). The couple is really cute, but their romance is not really the focus.
Relatable XD

Title My Demon Spoiler
I am on episode 4, and I really like the two leads. The FL is not as expressive as I would have liked, but I will just accept that as a part of her character. Not everyone is super expressive in real life either. Not everyone has 50% extra facial muscles like Shin Hye-sun has either.

The ML is cute, but I gotta say he is more of a Goblin/Dokkaebi than a demon, so far. Until I see the ML torture someone to death like Justitia/Kang Bit-na, he is a cuter, less depressed version of Kim Shin to me.

Anyways, the FL's "I am my bodyguard's bodyguard" line was fire [especially keeping in consideration she is scared for her life, so putting herself at risk for someone she does not know well was a great showcase of her appreciation for the ML], and the tango fight scene was lovely and fun!

I hope their romance pays off, because... what I dislike about this krama so far is that over 50% of the characters are nasty chaebol asshats, with some creepy Silence of the Lambs motherfucker to top it off. Oh my god, what is with kramas and the obsession with chaebol shit and serial killers.

I don’t get it why people feeling heartbroken and sympathy for SML who has been complete jerk his whole life.…
2ML reaped what he sowed, in a way. He was horrible to others, the universe clapped back and suddenly he became a sad boy. He is far from the worst 2ML I have had the displeasure of watching in the 40 or so dramas I have watched so far, though.

I WAS TEAM 2ND LEAD😭💔
I felt a bit bad for him, because he never really stood a chance and even though he was a conceited jerk initially, he made a bit of an effort to change. However, think about how many girls felt exactly like he did when he played with their emotions. He reaped what he sowed, in a way. The universe clapped back and suddenly he became a sad boy.

Also, the whole red thread/fate arc was very frustrating to me.

Title My Fated Boy
10/10 for My Fated Boy. Finally a drama where the relationship doesn’t move like a K-drama roller coaster: one…
After watching [and really really really really loving] Hidden Love and The Day of Becoming You [not as good, but still lovely], which avoid a lot of the annoyances I had with most romance kdramas I watched, I am all aboard the cdrama romance train. Your comment just made me more excited to watch this!

Title Oh My Ghost
I really, sincerely, genuinely DESPISE that ghost. She has this annoyingly obnoxious level of entitlement over…
She was definitely super entitled! The gal to take over someone else's body and to perform sexual stuff on top of that. Nasty stuff overall.

But, in all fairness, she IS a "virgin ghost", so I always assumed part of her behavior came from her then condition. And, she ended up being the most entertaining part of the drama to me, as immoral as she was. It sucks but I would rather watch 20 episodes of the ghost possessing Bong's body over one episode of Bong herself.

Nice list! I have been dreading watching Something in the Rain because of the infamous mother character [and it is apparently quite heavy overall? I wonder if it is 'heavy' like The Smile Has Left Your Eyes or heavier]. K-dramas are already prone to raising my blood pressure with characters most people do not seem to mind, lol.

Title Oh My Ghost Spoiler
They tried very hard to make the ML like the FL with things like the sunshine blog, but the truth is he fell in…
Yeah, the ML and FL romance does not work for me, it is clear the ML likes the ghost lady [honestly, I cannot blame him, she is very endearing and fun].

Title Oh My Ghost
why Kdrama always make it stressful and depressing to watch, even in romcom sitcom... i like some of the moments…
Yeah, it is very rare for a kdrama to not raise my blood pressure or make me sad. Even Gaus Electronics stressed me a bit [just a tiny bit] and most of the drama is pure comedy.

The bonding of the leads in episode 2 was so cute and heartwarming, and then they hit me with amnesia on the beginning…
Finished it! It went by faster than it should because I was skipping some of the villain focused stuff and I mostly skimmed through the final episode because I detest the dogshit separation trope in dramas.

The romance was overall cute, the leads were likeable, but I do have to say we do not get nearly enough fluff scenes and moments where the leads are happy together. It takes forever for them to get in the same page, and when that happens, the past lives stuff and the villains being villains stuff comes kicking in, and when the villains are gone, they separate... And only get together again near the very end. Please, make it stop ;-;

I think what really frustrates me is that something I really value is absent from a drama where the leads have excellent chemistry. Take something like King the Land, for instance. The leads there have inferior chemistry [imo] and there is virtually no plot in that drama, but I can see myself rewatching it because there are so much time dedicated to the leads being in love with each other. I want to see leads date, be cute together, call each other girlfriend/boyfriend, confessing, do things for each other, etc.

So, in a sense, it may be a me problem [a problem with my expectations] rather than a problem with the drama itself.

Anyways, the ML's not-brother telling his mom that being her son was a curse to him right before dying was the biggest "holy shit" moment here. I am not a mom, but ouchie!

I hope the male mermaid finds new love [not the FL!!!] and sticks around. Maybe Shin Hey-sun's character, since she has not done much other than pine for the ML and be rude to the FL so far. She is already somewhat connected to mermaid stuff because of her work, also.

I thought the ML was quite unlikable, and I did not understand why the FL had a massive personality change halfway through. Also, it is allegedly a romance but the leads are only together during 0.0001% of the story. It is not the worst I have watched, but it got close.

The bonding of the leads in episode 2 was so cute and heartwarming, and then they hit me with amnesia on the beginning…
On episode 6 and I love how much the leads are into each other. They are so cute. ;-; Sim Cheong is the cutest FL I have seen in a drama, alongside Zhi from Hidden Love. The ML is always doing his best not to care about and for the FL, but he always fails. Losing his memories did not matter at all, because he just fell for her in record speed again.

With that being said, this is episode 6 of 20 and there are so many ill-intentioned characters all around, that I am dreading future events as much as I am enjoying the romance between the leads. The stepmother and the smelly serial killer are the worst [please go back to the Reply series, thank you], but there is also Shin Hye-Sun's character and the ML's "friend" who are shady as hell also.

Also, Cheong said she cannot be splashed with water [so, we know for a fact it will 100% happen] and that she will not be able to see the first snow again [so, her stay in Seoul is likely not going to last]... I am dreading so much. I am tired, boss. Let me just enjoy the cuteness pleaaaaaaaaaaaase.
