The main couple had abysmal dogshit chemistry after that cute scene in the supermarket early on ;-; I was really never sold on the single mom being in love with the guy. She certainly did not show that love. The main guy was a little boring, but at least he was not a childish screeching demon like the ML in Modern Farmer.
The two secondary couples were chaotic but fun, though. The comedy was my kind of comedy so I found myself coughing from laughing so much quite a few times. Sorry, I watched this a few weeks ago and I already forgot all the names.
I wish there was a little bit more romance, but it is what it is. I really liked the leads and some of the supporting fellas. The scene where the FL keeps hugging her mother's ghost, forcing herself to be possessed by her mother in order to remember what really happened in the past was heartbreaking.
The FL's personality goes from awkward, cowardly and very endearing to infuriating in the second half. That coupled with the ML being a jerk and the leads not really being together for 99.99% of the story is why I gave this a 2 out of 10.
Also, what is with the ML's hair? That haircut does not match dudes with very sharp facial features who look 30 years old+. The ML is extremely, EXTREMELY attractive in Oh My Venus, yet he looks like dried chewed gum here.
I really enjoyed this, but I wish Haru was more three dimensional. His entire character is all about obsessing over Dan Oh. Also, I wish the fake FL grew some balls and hooked up with the fake 2ML instead of settling with the fake ML.
The bonding of the leads in episode 2 was so cute and heartwarming, and then they hit me with amnesia on the beginning of episode 3?! I am tired, boss. Someone please put me into a coma.
To be fair, I knew something would happen when the leads all but fell in love with each other in the second episode. I hope the scammer [ML] remembers Ding-Dong [FL] soon.
Episode 10 Rant *spoiler* Currently about 75% done with the episode and its completely pissing me off how kang…
I agree with your rant. Whenever I rewatch this drama, the stopping point is right after Seo-Ha learns that Ji-Eum is his reincarnated noona. The final two episodes do not exist to me lmao. My headcanon is that Ji-Eum lives her 19th life happily with Seo-Ha, her 18th life family and her 17th life niece. When she finally dies, she is reincarnated once more, but without any memories.
This would be my favorite drama if not for the 1st life bullshit and that annoying guy with the shaman bells. Bam Ji-Eum losing her memories was a mistake, imo. I would have preferred her to live her entire 19th life alongside Seo-Ha, her 18th life family and her 17th life niece. Then, when she eventually died in her 19th life, she would reincarnate having forgotten her 19 past lives.
With that said, I have watched from episode 1 up to a little bit after Seo-ha learns that Bam Ji-Eum is his reincarnated crush/noona three times already. Like 30 but 17 [also featuring Shin Hye-Sun], this is a comfort drama to me.
Midway through episode 9, and the ML and FL really do deserve each other. Two little assholes cut from the same cloth. The ML gave no shits about his gf dying [which was not his fault, but still] and the FL was literally daydreaming and obsessing over the ML while still making dating plans with the annoying hyperactive cop.
Why do I find questionable leads so compelling, [so long as both leads are questionable]? The literal demon and the morally ambiguous cop in Judge from Hell, the holier than thou cop couple [who were always one step away from entering "police brutality" territory] in Happiness and now the burn victim twins in Smile Has Left Your Eyes. Why???
I was scared about them to be related I really felt sick in my stomach and paused for while to pray not to be…
They die, anyways, so it is not like they would have spent a lifetime together as a sister/brother couple. Personally, I think they should have kept them as siblings.
Midway through episode 6, and the FL has been judging the ML quite harshly. I am not saying her perspective is wrong, quite the opposite... Except it seems she will do to her awkward cop boyfriend the same thing the ML did to Seung Ah aka play with his feelings.
The FL quite clearly already created a connection to the ML, she had no business solidifying any form of romantic relationship with the cop. Maybe the point is both leads are kind of shitty? I would actually like that.
Also, if the FL and ML end up dating, I am looking forward to the reaction from the FL's brother. He is not a bad person [so far], but I hate people who are nosy about other people's relationships. He has no business mingling with the relationships of his 30 years old sister. If she wants to date the devil himself, it is her business, not his.
If nothing else, this series is giving me things to talk about, unlike half the kdramas I watched and that is enjoyable by itself.
I just started watching episode 4 and I am enjoying it for the most part, but I refuse to torture my eyes by watching any scene with Seong Ah's mother and/or that fucking guy who says he owns her. I am so tired of terrorist parents/grandparents who think they own their children/grandchildren in kdramas.
From reading comments below, it seems like Seong Ah dies. Tbh, I sort of expected it to happen, considering the nature of the story and the fact she is dating the ML, and that her dying would make the ML look even shadier in the eyes of the FL's brother. That said, I find it quite sad because Seong Ah is by all means a sweetheart.
"That fucking guy" reminds me of the antagonist in While You Were Sleeping and the guy in WYWS turned out to be very interesting by the end, so I wonder if I will feel the same way about this cockroach wearing a human suit that I kindly nicknamed "that fucking guy".
I'm on ep9 and ML is just a bully?? I really don't see why she likes him, he doesn't even have those kind behaviours…
ML is an awful person. The only joy I derived from Crazy Love was during episodes 2~6 when the FL was tormenting the ML. Once she no longer believes she is dying of cancer, I lost interest.
I feel like the body swap concept was underused, but the love story was pretty cute. I hated the last few episodes, though. The paparazzi drama was inevitable, but I hate when drama couples separate or stay away from months/years in a long distance relationship. I would have preferred, as "unrealistic" as it may have been, to see the FL and ML say fuck it to everything in favor of their love.
The couple was very cute, but for some reason I did not get butterflies when watching them together. It is not necessarily a problem with the couple, after all, I watched Hidden Love right before watching this, and the couple in Hidden Love is just too perfect, so there is that.
Also, whoever was in charge of sound effects had a really good time. I also wonder if they paid royalties for using the "The King of Fighters" sound effects.
Cutest FL and ML in any drama ever. I love how Jiaxu always stood for Zhi when she was a kid, and when they are both adults, it is Zhi who stands up for Jiaxu the most. They are both incredible people/characters and lucky to have each other. I am sad I never experienced and never will experience anything remotely as magical as these fictional people did.
What a treat. I can see myself rewatching this many times in the future.
