I hope the supposed controversy on ZLH being too handsome has cooled down. Just dropping by to share this post recommended to me on Instagram. I think this guy is a stand up comedian and kindly shared the photos of those who started/drove this controversy. I rest my case. Hope you have a good loud hearty laugh like I did ☠️☠️☠️
I thoroughly enjoyed POJ regardless of anything I wished I might have seen.
I see. In my case, I think I had to urge to re-watch it because I was watching or re-watching other dramas to cope with the agonizing daily wait. So the flow was not continuous in my head (and after re-watching, I realized I missed some details) even though I still enjoyed the new releases. I suppose I was also eventually mentally prepared that finale may be less satisfying than I hoped when the last day came. I recall reacting or asking about the ending in the novel on this page because of the episode where XZ mentioned his desire to return to Lin'an with FCY in the fishing scene, and connected it with a scene in one of the videos going around where XZ seemed to help FCY unmount from the horse in Lin'an. Seems to have cushioned the blow to me...

Same. I actually did wish for a grand wedding for the finale but now I realize reading the novel, given understandable differences in the adaptation, will now help me cope with my withdrawal symptoms from PoJ. And then I will re-watch this again some time in the future, once the drama is no longer as fresh in my memory to enjoy it again. Haha
I just finished watching PoJ for the second time and I loved it even more.
Also, I think focusing on only "battle scenes" for the drama is misplaced. Rather, I thoroughly enjoyed all the fight scenes. ML and FL's fighting prowess aren't confined to battle scenes. They were clearly demonstrated early on when they fought assassins and bandits. Yes, ML and FL are high-ranked generals. But I thought that it was clear from the start the drama isn't generals-focused like other dramas (like LOTFG which I enjoyed), or palace politics-focused (which I am not a fan of). Instead, I really liked that PoJ had a mix of both (in the second half) and much more (first half). I also noted that it was clear from the close-ups how FL used her pig-butchering style to overcome Shi Hu and Lord Chang Xin. That is, it was helpful to have a different and new strategy when dealing with a veteran who can anticipate standard combat moves.
Anyway, dropping by here again after the re-watch and nice to see familiar names still hanging around on this page 😉🙌
What I find funny is that I imagine these guys who started the supposed controversy would not even pass for good…
My funny, wild and purely speculative take on this: 1) pure insecurity of the critic. ZLH is not only handsome, he's quite tall and intelligent. I mean I can't think of another very popular actor who has all 3. The critic may not even have 1 of those traits 💀. 2) The drama was widely popular, locally and internationally so it caught the poster's attention.
I dont understand the whole controversy about the foundation general. Its fiction, in the drama xz character requirement…
What I find funny is that I imagine these guys who started the supposed controversy would not even pass for good looking, even if they put on all the best and expensive foundation in the world. It's just insecurity to me at the highest level. PoJ is an idol drama, not a documentary. Not even about modern military or so. ZLH is not even the only good looking actor - with and without foundation/makeup - who portrayed a general. I find this just plain nitpicking started by someone who was lucky to have political influence domestically and cannot be criticized, especially if with connections or got in through nepotism
Airing schedule from 2 April to 8 Aprilhttps://kisskh.at/photos/mOQWKJ_3
Does Mango release express package like WeTV and iQIYI? 1 episode a day for Mon-Wed next week. I'm thinking whether I should put this on hold in the mean time...
I'm re-watching ep 10. When the ML turned over the slippers FL handed to him when he visited her home, what was he looking for? And then he looked over something on the internet. Anyone knows the context of that scene?
According to the novel, when will Cen Si Si cease to be a problem/get out of the picture?
Latest episode ended with RY getting a call that Cen Si Si committed suicide but I'm guessing that's not the case, right? Just some manipulating trick of Cen Si Si?
I see. I think I understand. Hopefully reading the novel will fill the void created by what you feel are lacking 😉

Also, I checked Netflix. I was low key hoping they aired ep 38 without the cuts, but no...😞
