I agree with you but you are missing my point: if you want to avoid censorship to allowed a s2 either you film s2 before aired s1 or you try to avoid any kind of potentiel angles of attack and it is not doing all the marketing around love that you can do that.
When I see everything on social media right now it would be a miracle this show would have a s2.
And for the law, censors probably don't care, if they want to crush, they will, if they see that behind the scene suggest things...
There are so many things I don't understand about the prod of this show : - film s1 in 2021 but realease only in 2023 - announce a s2 in a middle of BL and kiss hypes (say hello to censorship) - announced as a bromance without sexual content (maybe without lips to lips kiss) to avoid censor but release a lot of behind the scenes where there are so many ambiguous love talking and actions and finally maybe 3 kiss scenes - do cut and uncut versions when it is forbidden in China - actors playing around love without fear about what could happen to them - live + shooting + magazine = lot of hype even in China (say hello to censorship)
Keep in mind, I don't criticize I would love to see more of them specially because they create a more gentle and "acceptable" adaptation, I just find all weird

Ok so Jiong Min weibo live : - he cooked - he sang playing guitar and piano - after 30 min Bin came in - they sang together while Jiong Min was playing piano - it seems to me that they didn't answer questions but I am not a chinese speaker so can't understand what they said - Bin hair cut was amazing - they cut suddently (in a middle of a song, was weird) their stream saying they will go dinner (not head to head, with friends) - their chemistry can be seen "in real life", not surprised that it works in the serie too
