this drama broke me in the best way

took me a month to finish it but honestly it could’ve been less, and not because it was boring — on the contrary, it’s one of those dramas that makes you feel SO MUCH you need breaks just to breathe.

it made me cry, laugh, get angry, stressed… EVERYTHING. it’s a heavy story, touching on real and sensitive topics like war, ptsd, depression, grief, loss… and it does it in a very human way.

li zan is definitely my favorite. i thought it would be impossible to love another chen zheyuan character as much as duan jiaxu, but li zan proved me wrong.
I WOULD BURN EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING JUST TO KEEP HIM WARM.
overall, i loved every character, and of course benjamin and sasin stole my heart too.

the series never felt heavy in a bad way or repetitive. every episode kept me interested; the soundtrack is beautiful, the atmosphere, eeeeverything.

and i don’t care but ben and sasin were in love with each other.

this series made me think a lot — about how hard life can be for some people, how everyone carries their own battles… it’s a drama i will NEVER forget.

would i watch it again? maybe not lmao it’s a bit too much for me, maybe just certain scenes or episodes, but the whole thing? i don’t think so.

the ending honestly shocked me a bit, but unlike what a lot of people think, i felt like it made total sense… i think it was the most realistic ending they could’ve gone for, despite everything.
