LOL you bring up some really good points actually. When you line up all the crazy things like this, it doesn't seem very realistic, you're right. But I guess this is dramaland, after all, so personally I don't really mind it. Unless ppl start dodging bullets matrix style, then I will have to drop it (yes, this is my dropping criteria lol), but luckily this is not that kind of drama. Someone commented the other day about the fact that LYY's major is communication, yet he is so bad at communicating! 😂 I think that is pretty funny. About the conflict and resolution for the plot, until now it has kind of felt like a slice of life romance drama, but in the last eps LYY has gotten over his pride and fear and is making a return to his beloved sport. What happens next should be interesting. Ty for the lengthy reply, I don't mind if it's too long, I like reading haha.

I've been reading it too! SO TRUE about LYY, I was rewatching some parts of the drama after and thought about the things he did in the novel and I was like 😳 no wonder it didn't make it to the screen 😂

I agree on Wu Lei, he is really good and also the reason I recently got into cdramas, after years of only watching jdramas. I'm curious, in your opinion which elements did this drama fail to deliver so far? Is it the characters, the script, or maybe other factors? Are you maybe not into LYY? He is someone who has to think carefully before he says anything, and when he does, keeps it neutral and brief, because his careless chatter and arrogance when he was young changed his life for the worse. He is a cold character which doesn't leave much room for expression for the actor, do you think WL isn't doing a good job portraying him? I much prefer WL in more expressive roles, but I think he is performing well here. And I've never seen him look at an FL like this before, with hungry eyes lol. YG is innocent, naive, and inexperienced when it comes to romance, which imo is cute, tho maybe it isn't the most realistic thing in the world for a 21 year old. I think ZJM is on point, but this is also my first time seeing her act.

I hope you keep watching, I guess your impressions can sound a bit harsh to us fans, but personally i like to read them. It's interesting to read different opinions, i wish ppl didn't take it so personally... but i know when you love something it's hard not to!

I agree. the kisses in LLTG were super cute, but weak. Imo that first long kissing scene in NBY is still the most real looking one by far, even counting the ones we've seen in AASOL so far.
