Worth a watch!
Although the romance isn't the main part of the story - but the latter -- it still show a lot of sweet moments when it can/deserves to be shown. Kisses aren't always necessary need to be shown if someone is in love or not -- but the actions towards each other are much more important to me.Anyways, aside from that -- the main theme is the feud/misunderstandings that arose between the Han family vs the Di family. Of course there were others too that got involved - in the entanglement of it all.
Plus the war the broke out - that wasn't exactly necessary b/w the Northern Qi vs Jing country too -- which lead to the death of Princess Anning -- and almost near death experience for Han Ye. As for Ren Anle, Luo Mingxi and the rest -- they all suffer from different pain/deaths/sufferings too. But only a handful survived in the end to give it a happy ending. Sadly - there were some important ppl that lost their lives in the end -- which will definitely make you cry a lot too.
Anyhow -- it was worth the wild ride -- of emotions/angst, etc. Well done everyone! Well done Simon Gong, Dilraba Dilmurat, Liu Yuning, Xia Nan, Chen Tao, Tim Pei, etc. You guys did well!! Well done director and crew for putting this drama together. Wished there were more of it -- but this is still fine as it is. Love the OST in this drama too!!

The best of the best drama there is.
Wow, this drama is the best of the best there is. Watching the character grow up from when she was a child to a college-graduate student is a journey worth watching -- plus the relationship she has with DJX. It's pure, simple and no overboard extra characters that will lead to major misunderstandings b/w the two leads. ZLS and CZY played their characters really well. This story will take you through a rollercoaster of emotions that are relatable to real life and there are a lot of "life quotes/lessons" to be learnt from this drama.I'd definitely recommend this drama to anyone who haven't watch it yet -- who's looking for a light-hearted, fluffy, sweet, funfilled, romantic, and growing up journey type of drama. It may contain a lot of your type "trope" expected in a drama -- but it's something where you can relax, enjoy the ride and bring back memories of not just your childhood life but the journey from that to a young adulthood life too. The story between Sang Zhi & Duan Jia Xu will take you into a world where you can escape from your everyday "busy" lifestyle into a world "where dreams, love, etc" can be found. You will be so absorbed into the drama -- that you'll find yourself to be happy with them as well as also feel the sadness when they are feeling sad too...all the different emotions can be found throughout the drama -- and this is one great journey worth joining & watching again and again.
The drama ost - are prefectly played throughout the whole drama itself and worth listening to.
Well done Zhao Lu Si, Chen Zhe Yuan, Victor Ma and the other cast members, director, and screenwriter of this drama!! You guys did well!! A round of applause to all of you for your hardwork in bringing this story to life!! Well-worth it and deserves a 10/10 rating no doubt from me and many other viewers who love this kind of story!! Sweetness all around!!
P.S. (Bonus) I love how there's a special with the main leads giving each other positive feedback to each other and some of the other actors/actresses too in the story to each other too!!

A Slice of Life Kind of Drama - Lots of life lessons in it. Beautifully made and portrayed.
*spoilers ahead - and my 2-cents worth on this drama itself.*Finally finished watching it - the whole drama was definitely a slice of life kinda story. It's learning from mistakes one made (in terms of lying) and how to overcome + fix them, plus the most important key point in a relationship, is honesty, trust, open communication, understanding and care. We definitely take others for granted and we must learn to love bravely even though our past hurts have hurt us a lot. Learning to grow from these pains, moving on and holding our heads up high.
Lying doesn't get us far, as we know, it will eventually become our downfalls - including greediness, revenge, selfishness, etc.
But with unconditional love, honesty, trust, open communication and a clear conscience in any relationship will get you further than lying. Supporting one another, not judging others, not being overly self-centered/ego-centered, believe in each other will bring together a strong foundation for both parties involved - whether that be family dynamics, relationship dynamics, friendship dynamics or coworkers too - its the same thing. Without proper, real understanding - without talking over one another or assuming things - things will be more clear in any relationships out there.
Overall, I really love this drama - there were painful moments, but also joyful moments too - the life as it is - in real life - like a rollercoaster - taking challenges thrown our ways and change them into lemonades. It's okay to cry, it's okay to make mistakes - it's not okay to lie - but to really be honest with one another is really important. Otherwise it'll cause a lot of misunderstandings between both parties involved.
I totally love the OST of this drama - beautifully written and matches the drama a lot completely.
I'm glad it was a happy ending - although I do wished to have seen Hao Chen together in the family picture too - alongside with both HaoMing's family and Xu Yan's family too! Would've loved to see Hao Chen make dumplings together with Xu Yan's grandma too! That would've been a cherry on top.
So, in my opinion after watching all of this is definitely 10/10 highly recommended.
P.S. Though this drama may not be everyone's cup of tea - but worth a try too.
P.S.S. I forgot to mention - all the actors and actresses in this drama did well! Especially the chemistry between the 2 leads - William Chan and Zhao Lusi. But coming 2nd is the Xu Yan's sister (acted by Wan Peng) and her relationship with the doctor - Yu Yi Ming (acted by Tang Xiao Tian) - their relationship are quite sweet too and willing to communicate things with one another too. Plus I love the kid - Hao Chen - he's so adorable and sweet too - plus HaoMing's family - after they open up to one another - again communication is key here - they are all the best too. Most importantly is Xu Yan's grandma, she was the best -- she was Xu Yan's ship port/shelter whenever she needs support, encouragement, escape, healing, etc. Really love this family dynamic between Xu Yan and her grandma - as well, eventually when Xu Yan introduce HaoMing to her and later down the road - to Hao Chen too. It was the best of the best, b/c Xu Yan's grandma taught life lessons to Hao Chen too when things were difficult to comprehend and digest - via an indirect method. It was effective and that's what changed the relationship between him and HaoMing and Xu Yan too.

A mini series worth watching
This drama was definitely worth watching -- everything was on-point - never once losing momentum in terms of taking revenge against those who killed the main female lead's family - to all those hot kisses exchanged between the two leads -- to the main FL being quite strong and always finding ways to get ahead of that game - to not be trapped in any way -- at the same time -- taking all those down around her. The chemistry between the two is definitely off the charts!! The trust between the two of them - the love (unconditionally) and support that Zhu Guan Wen gives to Lin Bao Er/ Xue Tong - is very well executed - and shown at the same time. That's what I can call true love - he supports all her actions and willing to fight alongside with her at the same time - giving no leeway for anyone to hurt her. He's always there to protect her no matter what - for their rest of their lives -- and that's one amazing relationship to have between two people. Super glad that they had a wonderful ending and that Mr. Zhu got what he deserves in the end for all that he has done to the others!! Courtesy to Lin Bao Er/ Xue Tong's advance planning to prevent anything bad to happen to her or Zhu Guan Wen.Was this review helpful to you?
If you like a light hearted comedy drama this is worth watching
I just realized that some of the scenes in this drama is also found it other dramas too such as Dt. Appledog (Go Go Squid 2) :P episode in the last episode of the drama. Good story - full of fantasy - but there are many practical lessons learnt from this drama - especially like about cyberbullying, pursuing your dreams (never give up), friendship, different kinds of relationships (family, lovers, friends, etc). Definitely worth watching! All the actors/actresses did a good job in the drama. It also has a lot of comedy in it too. Mixture of fantasy, science, romance, etc. revolving around the special Comet that hit earth in this drama. Of course it also covers fashion too. Worth watching if you are looking for something light-hearted and not too serious a drama. Was this review helpful to you?

Highly recommended - a slice of life kind of story - at a normal pace in terms of relationships
*Spoilers*I honestly love the drama too - yes, it's a story where the FL - Lin Huan Er, who's a live streamer ended up in the book that she was debating about with another online live streamer too - after she met the ML - Gao Hai Ming in her timeline of 2025 at the beginning of ep 1. At the beginning - Lin Huan Er didn't really believe in love or felt like that she should be in any relationships at all - so during her livestreaming at the beginning, she was against it. Eventually, when she ended up in the book of 1999 - she was force to learn how to love, care, work hard and change her mindset about love - eventually leading to true love b/w the two leads. At the beginning the ML and his assistant was skeptical of her - but overtime, she worked hard to change his perspective of her and he too fell in love with her hard - both of them went through a lot of trails in their lives - one after another, it wasn't easy, but they both overcome them all. Yes, there was a lot of scenes where I ended up crying a bucket full of tears - especially when the 2nd time he proposed to her and he almost died from the car accident saving her - and at that point she broke the rules of the system, got severely punished by it - and that in terms lead to ML - Gao Hai Ming losing his memories/had short term amnesia of forgetting who she was - including the others around them both too.
I literally cried for them both - when she had to deal with him losing his memories of her - after the car accident/reversal/erase memory thing caused by the annoying manipulative pager - system of hers that she had. It was a tough uphill battle at times when he couldn't exactly recall anything about her - but slowly/surely he did get some burst of memories of her here and there when they both went around to the different places they used to visit/hangout/created memories together.
The biggest part that made me cry aside from the proposal scene - and eventual poof departure scene of hers. - I mean don't get me wrong - I cried a bucket full of tears there - when he was left alone by himself on the merry-go-round without her. It was very raw and emotional for me too.
Where I also cried was when he thought that she drown in the river - when he was talking to her over the phone - after he rushed over with his assistant from his company - during his birthday party there - so he just assumed she fell in and he jumped into the river - despite unable to swim and literally almost drown there, had she not jump in after him to rescue him instead. This part - eventually led to him recovering his memories and also allowed him to gain insight of what's bound to happen b/w the two of them. In his mind - he did have some mental preparedness of her inevitable departure - b/c he too realizes those around him are clueless/seem to not know they were in a relationship before or that she worked in another company before joining Letao -- him stating to his assistant - that he was the one who poached her from the Yunshao (?) advertising company and not what the assistant said - that she joined their department after the new years - from the marketing department in their company.
Honestly the fact that he knew before her inevitable departure - he did his best to make/create wonderful memories together and capture them before she was to leave without any notice to him on the merry-go-round. He was even smart enough to write a special love note to her unbeknownst to her until she returned to her world - of 2025 and stuck it in her jacket pocket - which at that time he said it was the "special wonton" recipe he got from their favorite wonton food stand at that time. Though I do wished that I see Gao Hai Ming actually say "I love you" before she disappears/poof into thin air after his proposal to her and on the merry-go-round - filming her/kissing her until the very last second - and not when she's gone that he said that. It was also nice to see the he was still alive in his world - when she left; had the camera full of their memories that they created together before she left and the pager that from time to time - allow him to see her - in her world of 2025 somehow and of their memories too.
All throughout the last few episodes of the drama - from ep 20-24 I literally cried - not just for the two main leads - but also the 2nd leads too. Especially when we hear/see that the 2ML died suddenly when the 2FL was preparing for their supposedly wedding - trying on the wedding dress - when she got news about her fiancé got seriously injured and which lead to his eventual death - having to see the 2FL (her best friend - Mengmeng - breakdown - crying while painting the picture of him in police uniform - to remember him - to seeing Lin Huan Er being there for her at those times and Gao Hai Ming comforting her - realizing that what she said before - was inevitable - a pre-determined destiny that even though she thought could change - didn't change - he still died the next day - after the big accident - that they eventually help him avoid dying from the previous day (at the hotel planning the wedding venue, etc).
I like how despite the censorship, we were able to see the FL (Lin Huan Er) - get to see her best friend walking happily with her husband together hand-in-hand and Gao Haiming's assistant as well - before she eventually meets the ML in her world of 2025 too - and that the place they met up again - was the model airport museum that had contained all their memories there - plus the model planes they built together. I'm also glad that they got to meet again - in her world - rushing towards each other/hugging and both of them crying in each other's embrace/greeting each other/smiling/ him wiping away tears and then kissing each other for a long too. What I really wished was that they didn't have to cut out the other episodes that it was supposedly have - to show how he came to his world along with the others characters that she treasured the most together too. Plus how did her best friend Mengmeng's husband didn't die and were together again - and everything else. The way the so-called censorship forced the drama to cut out so much - to be honest wasn't necessary - especially like other said - 40 episodes was originally the max one drama could have - so why cut them out??
It definitely made the ending still somewhat really rushed with a lot of unproper - unanswered questions in the mind of the viewers watching it. I really wished there was more too it. To be able to see them together - live their lives in her world 2025 would have been great - and his turn to adapt to her world/lifestyle too. At least at the end - there was a typed up message about their story of meeting each other - kissing passionately - and then left us with somewhat an idea of how Gao Hai Ming eventually ended up in her world of 2025 - which was related to the pager that he had in his hands when she left - but the writer left it as a mystery - where may be one day they'll explain how he did get to her world of 2025. Plus then we get to hear them both saying - that love transcends all times/space - that they are able to meet again and stated to each other "Grateful to see you again".
Now I wished there was a part 2/season 2 too!!
P.S. Thank you to all the actors/actresses/film crew for bringing this drama to life - well done and well acted! Definitely recommend watching it. A slice of life kind of story - learning to love - not in a rush way - but at a regular - normal pace - and seeing the character grow/evolve/change over time. Was definitely another drama worth my time to watch.

Well worth it -- a drama that portraits the emergency teams (Firefighting, ER, Command Center, etc)
They portrait the firefighters' life/work very well -- as well as the other emergency crew, teams, hospitals, etc. I was able to connect with each of the firefighters in the story too along with the staff at the hospital, etc. I think some of the biggest disasters in the drama - is the toughest to probably film/do -- typhoon & earthquake part of the drama. Lots of heartwrenching moments. I also cried a lot when Da Peng passed away due to the explosion in the new building being built, as well as the other scenes too when Song Yang was in military to the scene where he got trapped in the collapse building to when was exposed to dangerous chemicals - both times where he was close to "near death" situation -- as well as Suo Jun when he got seriously injured on duty too and had to resign from the firefighting life of his. I think each of their stories/lives were very touching & heartbreaking at times. Lots of life lessons to be learnt from it too. Thank you everyone for your hardwork! Well done!Side note though (my 2-cents worth -- opinion - take it with a grain of salt)
I felt slightyy cheated at the end -- I watched the last 2 episodes -- they talked so much about the wedding, etc - but there was no show for it at all. *heartbroken*. It would've been really nice to actually see them married in the drama -- since they talked about it through the last 2 episodes...why oh why did they not have it?!? I mean, I really love the drama overall! It was worth it to watch -- but not having the actual wedding scene -- with all the talk about it -- just doesn't do the ending justice!! I wished they had even just an extended episode of it would've been nice -- at the firehall - bringing everyone together including Suo Jun would've been nice. Sigh...oh well -- everyone did well. Well done Yang Yang! Well done all cast members and film crew + director of this drama!! Good job!! I will miss this drama a lot. Thank you all for your hardwork!!
Nonetheless, I still gave them full ratings of 10/10 because even though some parts may seems slow or relationship seems sticky between the 2 main leads -- in general -- I think this drama deserves a watch -- cause the emotions they (the characters) take you through will be one heck of a rollercoaster. But gives life and insight of what each emergency crew members do - whether it be a firefighter, ER staff member, command center, and also the day to day life of people who gets trapped in an emergency situation - etc. The bonding between the firefighter staff members at Silitai Fire & Rescue Station is very realistic and cool. I like how each member bond and connect with each other despite the difficulties they may face in life or during an rescue operation. So well done! Round of appalause!
Therefore, if you haven't watch it yet -- what are you waiting for -- give it a watch and decide if what I mentioned here is worth your time to watch this drama or not! Happy watching!

Slow burn romance - but it's not just romance only - it's lessons on different relationship dynamics
*spoilers*I just finished watching this drama today (Jan 14th 2026) - only took me about 4 days to finish it all.
To be honest, many people mistaken this story to just be a romantic relationship that starts off in school and goes into the workplace - which is obviously not true for the 2 main leads. Nie Xi Guang - the first part of the story, has her in last year in university (roughly) - deciding on where she wants to work and what to do with her life - at the same time, she's dealing with her thesis paper and at the same time - the relationship dynamics of friends in her dorm and the one sided unrequited love that she has for Zhaung Xu (which we know him as SML - didn't work out - b/c of the misleading - annoying Rong - who accused her of things she - Nie Xi Guang - never actually did not do at all - but got framed by her and that ruin the once so-called friendship bound future relationship with Zhaung Xu --- the fact of this mistrust lead to the FL breaking down and eventually moved on from him - although Zhaung Xu - thought differently and too slowly - that he lost out on her - which is actually his fault too. By the time Zhaung Xu realizes his feelings for Xi Guang - she (the FL) already moved on in her life and has no more interest in him - despite the fact that Zhaung Xu kept on pestering her for a lot time, until the final big confrontation then he realizes that he has to let her go). On the next part of the story - we get to see Xi Guang discover what she likes to do, see her grow to love her job and become better at it over time. Leading her to be a very successful CEO towards the end of the story - when we see the ML switching out of the CEO role of the company they both worked at - to becoming a medical biotechnology specialist/developer too - into the field that he originally loves to work in/do.
Anyways, moving the story along - I think the amount of business shown in here was the right amount and makes it equally important to the overall storyline - as the main focus of the story - the ML switched from being a neurosurgeon to a solar energy CEO - due to the car accident he had prior to meeting the FL (2 yrs later - after his indirect encounter with the FL at Ms. Yu's special gala) - that had him do a huge career change at that time. If it wasn't for his great grandfather's idea of bringing him onboard to the company of his - then Lin Yu Sen wouldn't have met Xi Guang in the story, in Suzhou - which is a subsidiary company of his great grandfather's. Later as the story develops - we see Lin Yu Sen (ML) - changed, grow, mature and becomes a better person overall - he pursues all of his career fields very well - from that of a neurosurgeon to being a super knowledgeable person in the solar energy field of work - to going back to his original career field and pursue something more rewarding than before.
Either way - b/w the 2 main leads - the chemistry b/w the two - the trust, support, unconditional love for each other, the encouragements, the clearing of any possible misunderstandings, and the romance between the two were very sweet and great. I enjoyed every moment of their time together. Including the ending part where we get to see their married life - with their kid going to kindergarten, their major achievements that they both made in their respective fields of work - at the same time, the promises they made with each other back in the days they were dating/working together and more. The parts where I wished could've been more would be their wedding and proposal scene - where it seem a bit to fast/short/missed/cut - it was nice to see they did get married to each other - but without an audience/presence of family members, etc it. Seems like their marriage was private and fast - they got themselves married in the special garden that Xi Guang designed without any witnesses around - which I was quite surprised that it happened that way - but nonetheless I did get to see them get married to one another - and continue on with their lives as usual - both business and family life together.
As for all the other side characters - most of them were will done and they all had their reasonable redemption arc or not. But it does give you a better glimpse of those involved directly/indirectly in the lives of the 2 leads - both good and bad.
As for the traveling part of the story, it's good to show that too - cause this storyline is considered a "slice of life" kind of story - it's not just always romance only. It contains the dynamics of other relationships too - whether it be for business or personal life too - esp on the part of the FL being afraid of flying to her relationship with each member of the family of hers - both good and bad ones too,
Therefore, in conclusion - don't judge a drama and give it a low rating/bad comment - just b/c you only watched a couple or few episodes of the drama itself. Or you came here to watch only the romance and don't care about the rest of the storyline at all. This drama to me, brought out a lot of different life lessons to learn from and be able to apply it to your daily life too.
So, go ahead and watch it - if you like slow burn romance that involves not just romance only - but every day life and things - including school, workplace dynamics, and family + friend dynamics too.
Also, please don't be disrespectful to the actors or actresses in this drama - including any insults thrown their way. As you the viewer has no right to judge others - as no one is perfect in this world at all. We all make mistakes in our lives that can/cannot be forgiven and we are all made unique + special too.
That's my 2 cents worth of opinion/insight that I see as a viewer of this drama. Please don't bash me for it, thanks. Enjoy!
