For me it's because it's similar to Itazura na Kiss, but improved IMHO. You see the growth of them from their teenage years to adulthood. While it still has it's undesirable elements. it's a slice of life from two different personalities that find a way to be together.

As many have already said she was from the Tiger Clan. I wanted to add though, that there are shields where unlocking from outside is easier than trying to break out. She didn't care about about anything like that because she was going to "kill him".

I accidentally spolied myself looking into BiBi Dong, she's BiBi Dong's daughter, she's disguised as the prince in order to take over Xinglou (or whatever it's called)
