I dropped at episode 7. Can someone spoil the rest for me ?
I finished it today and I must say I expected a bit more from this drama. I do love Hyungsik as main lead, but somewhere in the middle of the drama the plot just fell apart. It started good, it was interesting with those mysterious affairs but explaining everything scientifically kind of killed the spark and potential this drama had. That soldier who is always with Crown Prince (TaeKang) has a twin brother who is responsible for wounding and poisoning crown prince in the beginning. Also, FL's "lover", her brother was under hallucination which made him believe they were in love. He was the one who poisoned the soup. (Poison was in that bracelet they had). Shaman woman, FL's brother, that wandering monk, Court lady Kwon and King's wife are all in it together. King's wife is a courtesan, was married to that "bandit" Song and then Right State Minister brought her into the palace so that he can fulfill his wish to become King above Kings. Sergeant Han founds out from the Queen that FL is eunuch in the East Palace. FL says she can't go back to him, and he ofc realises both FL and Crown Prince love each other. In the end FL and Crown Prince get together, but in my opinion drama was too stretched out and in most parts boring. Certain scenes were just repeating themselves over and over again. Additionally, this cliche of girl and crown prince always ending up together is really getting on my nerves. It would have been more realistic for FL to return to her fiance after all of this. Also, most apsurd thing in the end was the fact that FL would try to "forgive" those bad ppl who killed her whole FAMILY and move on. I liked Hyungsik in this role, but all in all it was disappointing. Just typical romance drama that could have ended in 10 episodes.
Second lead syndrome and my hatred of amnesiaAmnesia is already one of my most hated forced-angst plot devices.…
What a shame yes, and I remember how I couldn't wait for someone to ask something just that I could see how "coldly" would he answer them. And it seems that the writers have now gone to a totally different extreme, portraying the main couple as very incompatible, just to justify their previous work.

I haven't watched these newer episodes yet, but damn I couldn't control myself from reading those spoilers. At least I know what I can expect now. I really don't understand the need of writers to break our hearts with all these very handsome second leads.
Oh oh, you really let loose there 🤣 🤣 🤣There are so many rules around C-dramas, why can't there be one…
I did not watch Word of Honour, but I agree with you when it comes to censorship. I watched The Untamed, and I was amazed by the editing and directing since it made those censored parts even better (in my opinion) than original scenes. And yes, someone said that nowadays producers use censorship as an excuse for their incompetence and lack of ideas. I have a feeling that those who were in charge of adapting the novel are closely related to those hypocritical immortal sages 😆

Thank you for calming me down with your explanation of what really happened in the novel. Reading the comments of the last few days about the differences between the series and the novel, I concluded that without a doubt it would also become my favorite novel. It's a shame that we can't see all that in full glory in the series. All the details that make LYF and CZ unforgettable characters (as well as other characters), the very immortal world they live in, and ultimately - the message this novel carries.
Are you waiting until next week to watch it on the normal schedule? That's what I'm planning to do for now. If…
I don't want to spread negativity, but at this point I may drop this drama as well. I was waiting for other episodes to become available, so that I can finish it finally, but I lost interest. Maybe, when drama finishes I will return to watching for simple reason not to leave it hanging somewhere in my mind,

Yes, I love Wang Yue too, and I think production "surprisingly" did one good thing - which is hiring Zhuo Cheng as Wang Yue. His makeup and little smirks 😍 - sometimes unconsciously he gives me strenght to continue watching XD.(but still they dubbed his amazing voice) Sadly, I can't read anyyy noveeel since there is no good translation!!
