i appreciate your detailed answer and your points about JTL are valid. the story was a bit of a hot mess.

yeah power couple with ML stronger is typically more of a money-maker keeping gender roles power unbalanced, even it is by an inch, i can see what you mean. <3

haha the ML was sick and nearly died 2 times so i dont know about that! (boat drowning and being beaten to a pulp by his father's guards before taking poison). FL mended him back to health both times. Also he messed up the sacred moon learning and she had to save him from dying because his qi reversed it's flow. She saved his life 3 times in the story and i think he saved her life 3 times too (1st ep, when he gave her the sacred moon flower and when he traded years of his life for her).

oh I never knew that about JTL. I thought she was an unbeatable assassin and always thought she was more lethal and he was more strategic. i watched the whole series and thought she was the stronger one.

She got poisoned by the fake Empyrean Token that's why she was weak when she fought the same people.

Journey to Love - was he or she stronger? I don't remember haha

I never understand why people say the FL was weaker than the ML. So she was evenly matched with Wu Yuan and Huang Chao (Wu Yuan competition on the water and the sword battle with Huang Chao when they met). Feng Xi had to team up with her to take Wu Yuan down. There is absolutely no proof that she was posed as inferior to the ML in any scene. They both learnt the sacred moon skill and only when they combined it with both their powers was it unbeatable. The message was always about them being unbeatable "together".

In ep 6 She took on so many villains at one point and Feng Xi only came in the last minute after she was fully exhausted, so that's hardly saying he is stronger. If you take in to account he loves her to end of the earth and was giving his all to protect her, it's more of his absoluteness in the situation rather than him being able to defeat them when she couldn't.

In the football game they played together they were evenly matched, so I'd love to hear what in the story demonstrated she was weaker.

'Eternal Love' is angsty and 'Eternal Love of Dream' is cotton candy.

Eternal Love writes a different story and outcome for this couple. There is no "season 1" and "season 2" this is the fluffy and lovely version of their love story, while Eternal Love is the bitter-sweet version.

Zhan Feng was so easy to manipulate because his "uncle" told him that he witnessed his father and mother being killed by them. ZF's lady from the brothel worked for Dark River so she planted the seed and then his uncle probably confirmed the rumour later.

Zhan Feng didn't marry Lie Ru Ge because Yin Xue didn't tell the truth of what happened with his parents at the beginning of the series. If Yin Xue did that would have been able to clear up all the misunderstandings before Zhan Feng did a whole bunch of bad stuff. Obviously Yin Xue wanted to be with Ru Ge so he let people make wrong decisions to have his chance (haha)

No the girl from the brothel was just saying that she was pregnant with his child to stop his wedding to Dao Lie Xiang.

Theoretically she could become immortal if she joins his Ethereal sect and learns their techniques (to become immortal), otherwise she will grow old and die like you said.

I liked how it ended and the fights were pretty original.

That Muyu and ChangHe were a team from beginning to end was beautiful.

Around episode 20-25 was a bit slow and the end fight was a bit dodgy. Was like an episode of Dragonball Z.

Acting from a lot of people wasn't great but the two ML and the uncle carried it well.

Worth a watch. I don't manage to watch many dramas without dropping them these days but the episodes were pretty easy to watch.

yeah then why not! do what you love, and if people appreciate it, then even better! but just don't make it for the sake of others because unfortunately that's a losing plan. rather be like an artist making a painting, or someone making a music video of their favourite drama.

people would no doubt use it. ive seen an excel sheet with hundreds of dramas saying happy/sad ending etc. but whether you can monetise it is another thing! if you were to make such a thing the main reason to make it would be for your own pleasure as I doubt you'd get much appreciation for the amount of effort you would put in.

often a lot of the best clips are reposted on youtube so more often than not the right drama finds its way to everyone eventually

i know this is fantasy but Si Mu laying on her broomstick is a position people with FEELING would do, not someone who lacks the 5 senses. i know this show is about aesthetics but i have to switch off my brain so often because they just throw out all logic for visuals. i know everyone only cares about visuals so i'll just go eat some worms haha

(PS: let's not talk about how the ML has absolutely no fear from one of the most powerful beings in the entire universe and has unlimited confidence as if he's a billion dollar CEO even in the face of her omnipotent power)
