Ive gotten to episode 3 and everything thats happened has been so amazing its sent me into a depressive episode. (Im pitting a CW for this comment sorry dont read on if you dont wanna witness a breakdown mid-review)
Seeing them with their loving friends (found family, more like) crushed me because its so precious. Their love together with their baby boy is all i could ask for and i think probably i shouldnt have watched it while im incredibly sick and already going through it bc i dont have anyone to take care of me lol

Yes! He was so sweet and lovely. I also loved him and Tiffy. Him being good at makeup, sewing, etc. was very nice to see. And he was a good, understanding friend.
And he definitely did wear those shirts very well 😌 thank you for the clip as well. Did not hurt at all lol

Those are all really good points, honestly. I would say that it's not really seamless for the other characters, like Nuna and her relationship with Mook. But i get where youre coming from about Chompoo and Lek having sweeter and smoother interactions. I didn't watch the entirety of the special episode because i was upset it was just behind the scenes and not a continuation. I think it's pretty upsetting that Zung was chosen without having the desire to play a gay role. Especially if he was adamantly against it, that just shows they should have chosen out.

You make a great point about the potential for other conflict. It wasn't necessarily out of nowhere for Aek to react that way, but throwing it in at the end of the show and not allowing for proper resolution is what makes the conflict seem so forced.

Looking at all your points I can definitely understand your viewpoint and I agree with you on some of it as well.
Overall I think it's just disappointing because the show had a lot of potential and I think I loved it for what it could have been rather than what it ended up as.

Ah, i read your other comment and see what you were referring to in terms of homophobia. I agree that it could be taken that way, though i personally didnt. I find that less an issue with homophobia and more an issue in overall consent when kissing is involved. That happens plenty of times in dramas with straight people as well. Does not excuse it at all, but just imo doesn't come of homophobic?

I can understand the issues with that, especially it all being swept under the rug because thats an issue i had as well. I definitely agree there was bad writing and the ending fell apart quite a bit, though I'm not sure I see what was homophobic? Which part do you mean when saying that?

More on Nuna: she's flirtatious but not predatory which should be bare minimum but unfortunately isn't and so i love her all the more for it. Her relationship with Aue made me emotional on multiple occasions because it felt like they found each other in a bad situation and took on the world together. I can't express how much i love her.

Also Nuna potentially getting a gf at the end ?????? Oh my god I'd cry if they made a spin off about them (and theyd be able to resolve some of the other issues in the show) But thats just a pipr dream 😔✌

Not sure of the intensity of the criticism but I can understand the issues people had. I agree with some, and i guess i can't farely speak because i skipped through a lot of the boring scenes lmao. My thought is that it's not an offensive show. It didnt do anything that particularly made me upset, it just also didn't do anything in particular that made me happy other than scenes with Nuna. Her interactions with everyone were fantastic in their own unique ways. Still, a side character doesnt save a show. I liked the main characters, dont get me wrong, the end just kinda fell flat and was confusing due to a lack of resolution on the conflict (which I'm glad to see is a common consensus and not because i missed something.)
I didnt care about the second couple. I didnt feel any romantic chemistry between them. Felt more like a good story of found family. I really liked Prem as an individual though.
I think it really boils down to the fact that its a romance show with lackluster romance. I saw more chemistry with the chef and Chompoo.
I still liked the show especially because of how charming all the characters were in their own right. Really I'm sad the ending fell apart, because this could have been amazing if it hadn't been haphazardly strewn together.

Im surprised the rating is so low! I liked the show, and i was a little disappointed because the ending was kind of lackluster but i wouldnt say it deserves this low of a score. I'd recommend watching it as long as you're willing to skip through the boring stuff. Do that and its enjoyable, but i get the frustration of having to do that in the first place. There are some really good characters in here tho :)

i watched the anime a long time ago and hated it but i have hope that this adaptation will fix the main issues i had with the series (namely everything feeling nonconsenual)
