No I will be honest itβs so bad comparing it to the manhwa they basically used the character names and title…
That's genuinely SO sad. Such a big betrayal especially after how long it was delayed for ππ idk if I've seen a bigger writing blunder. And this series is one that is SO easily adaptable it's literally just like slice-of-life romance they really didn't have a hard job with adapting it and yet here we are π
:( I was sooo excited for this show bc this is my favorite manhwa but I genuinely don't think I can watch it based off of responses and how much they changed. I hate when my favorite things get horrible adaptations because they rarely ever get a second chance π like y'all had one job and instead you make the show about a couple that doesn't even exist????????? Idc if the production value/acting is good (which seems debatable anyways) if they butchered the plot then I don't want it :''') a shame. I was up in these comments manifesting this into existence during the huge delay, too. Guess I'll just read the manhwa again and cry over what could have been lol
I'll cry if after all this rollercoaster of will-it-won't-it air it ends up being bad π but everything I'm seeing is dashing my hopes. The fact that this is my favorite series and its finally getting an adaptation after I manifested for years means it will truly break me if they ruin it :"")
Anyways I adore this show. It's cheesy at times (see: any time that damned glitter spfx was used) but it's always…
And Hosaka is an absolute legend, they'd be nowhere without him! And Mikoto too, the supporting characters really pulled through without seeming like they only existed to further the plot. I love the friend group and how they do friend things and don't just dwell on the main storyline. The show never felt hollow or confusing. Loved it a lot, even if there were a few hiccups, everything pulled through by the end
The description here is so ππ like damn cut my boy Kakeru some slack lmao
Anyways I adore this show. It's cheesy at times (see: any time that damned glitter spfx was used) but it's always heartwarming and even if I rolled my eyes a bunch, the way the characters did shit made sense with how they were established from the start.
Also, I love that so much is from Kakeru's perspective instead of being solely Yamato pining sadly lmao. They established Yamato's feelings and then developed Kakeru's and I think that worked really well. I also like the music a lot! This show made me really happy and I needed that
I couldn't watch the original show cause the love interest looks like the kid from Gooby and it freaked me out so idk how I feel about this series, but I'm always excited to see EarthMix
HELP??? Okay first off, I was losing my mind over them having such stupidly pretty voices but then I realized the fuckin Digestive dude is Cha Seowon from Unintentional Love Story π he looked different bc of his hair but when they were singing in the apartment it totally clicked wtf π that's so funny to see him playing a personified abandoned snack.
Anyways, again, why are their voices so pretty ???? that's so funny. They got these hella talented singers and then got them singing about being sad bc they're not good snack food. Obsessed. I think everyone should watch this
This was a rollercoaster cause Jesus I loved the characters and then hated them and then loved them. I fully understand the criticism, the way Taeyi acted was so incredibly upsetting and such a completely stupid thing to include because it totally soured everything if you don't choose to pretend it didn't happen like hey! What the fuck? However, I did choose to pretend it didn't happen because it felt too OOC (kinda) so to me it was just a very shitty writers decision rather than the character's actions (weak ass defense ik). Another thing, Seheon's decision at the end absolutely bewildered me cause how are you gonna hear from your brother that the guy he loved killed himself because he pushed him away during to internalized homophobia and then proceed to do exactly that to said dead guys brother???? That was absolutely baffling but I guess they magically made up. It's a bummer, this had SO many amazing moments and I love the characters overall, but those major bad decisions make it so I can't pretend like this show is perfect. There was also just some messy writing decisions and confusing things, but the show still feels pretty whole. It's better than something like Star Struck which felt totally unfulfilled, but it's not on the level of The Eighth Sense where character's behavior has understandable motivation (even if not ideal, it makes sense). Idk, I really liked the actors and I think it was well made aside from what I mentioned. The couple was very cute together and I think the tension was there. The final kiss had me giddy so I guess they did good on winning me over in the end, I just wish those big moments had been changed cause damn this would've been so spectacular! I still like it, but I will not at all blame anyone for being uncomfortable with what Taeyi did and not liking the messy last couple episodes. Still, again, I don't think it was all terrible and there was a lot of good, but ik some people aren't comfortable excusing things in fiction that are never ever excusable irl and that's fair.

TL;DR I definitely liked it, but I won't in good conscience say it's perfect
