I really like this drama too...love their personalities. But also, all the main characters have this maturity/lack of shallowness/"deep thinking" which usually calls for a sad or "philosophical" ending. There also wasn't really any confusing or mysterious part where you question the character's real motives or thoughts.
ratings make sense...I've only seen the first ep: the production seems like a quality highschool film project (cheesy music and a jumpy/overdramatic storyline)
Is it just me or the Fl has a lot of similarities with zhao lusi. I imean the looks and acting style???
yesss I commented the same exact thing a while back the main difference is their voice I think...I like the FL's voice more tho...for some reason I can never get used to Zhao LuSi's voice

I think following how the ML and the dojo's way of thought (all about taking the higher ground, inner respect, and an incredible level of maturity), the ending makes sense.

Yah he mistook YK as ML and left the dojo to him. Not sure what you mean by "aware of ML's story" (not sure how much you understand) but basically the master was like "remember when u were young" and talked about how he treated ML as his own son and YK basically agreed with him (didn't require him to know anything...he just didn't say that he wasn't ML and pretended like he remembered). But I think at first he wasn't doing it on purpose (like master is so sick he's not gonna make master worry over something trivial like calling him the wrong name)...but then master dropped the bomb like imma give u the dojo and then he was like "ur gonna give ML the dojo??" and then the master said "silly, y ru referring to yourself in third person" Then it went on...in front of everyone (master probs recognized the black clothing and assumed it was ML) Hope that helps :E
Just finished Ep 40...does anyone remember who 杨晓宇 (Yang XiaoYu) or his dad is? Or am I understanding it wrong? It's been so long I don't remember all the characters I guess
I'm not the biggest fan of ChengYi's CP either...I understand her POV but her I just feel really bad for the other guy...and even worse bc I don't think he'll find someone by the end. Yuda is kinda more of a talker rather than a doer.

It is. It's a bit weird when she had lines saying "we'll tell everyone what our relationship is" like the writers tried to confuse the audience but the actress played the sister role really well and it was clear through her actions and the way she interacted with him LOL
Curious to see how ChengXiao performs in this drama because I've only watched her in FIYS but her character just had a lot of poker faces so I was just super uncomfortable with that. Hopefully her character here doesn't like giving a poker face
Aaron Yan is the first person that comes to my mind when I think of Taiwanese actors (for females, I think it would be Puff Kuo) just bc he's in so many rom com dramas (which is all I watch)

I've recently watched Sweet Sweet, which also had a non-petty girl-in-love-with-ML-for-a-long-time LOL. Sweet Sweet is super light though, if you're interested. I was just surprised because super light dramas usually have that basic petty girl trope.

Up to 35, there was only one character for 2 or 3 episodes, very quick, and I wouldn't say she was the cause of the small problem they had (she was just a tool). At the end of 40 eps I might even forget about her LOL
they are gonna keep him the main villain till end. But the girl things is resolved quickly between 3 episodes.…
idk about full redemption but I think its definitely possible for him to reflect and recognize his wrong doings (and gain pity from those around him) It's sad that he's sunk to this level...before it was borderline healthy competition...now he just has no bottom line. He dug himself in a hole with his reactions to some unfavorable situations I appreciate how they made his character very slowly turn "bad" so I think a re-centering of his actions/thoughts could be a chicken soup away
