I just finished To Fly With You in its entirety...same director...man, he's really killing it.

I wasn't really a fan of the second CP either when they started their relationship...and it was pretty predictable. But I wouldn't consider this drama too tropey...I mean what struggle/complication has not been used before? What makes these situations tropey is the execution (we all know the outcome...but how do they get there?) and I think the execution wasn't bad (not mind blowing, but not boring). The FL in the locker room was pretty tropey, I have to agree (and it also didn't make sense how they janitor didn't know), what would make it even more tropey is if LuoXiaoYi told him to...oooof I would've hated that basic mean girl move.
I've watched a lotttt of romcoms so maybe I'm a bit more lenient (although I do have a bottom line...off the top of my head the worst one of this year was Please Feel at Ease Mr.Ling).

Wow..so I've seen skate into love and my unicorn girl, both of them were pretty good...I was expecting the execution to be the same. But somehow this drama went beyond that. They really balanced the background stories of the characters + comedy + excitement from the competition (and its not too technical) + sweetness. Plus the chemistry...soooo goooddddd. 35 eps was a good length, felt substantial and not draggy...super consistent.

I'm really liking this more recent trend of using sound effects for comedy though...and the trailer has so I think I just might watch for that...c drama romcom land has been dry this past season except for maybe one or two very recent ones T-T

Just looked at their weibo...from what I can gather from the trailers and such, it seems like a noona romance w/a boy who wants to do music and the girl is the manager who signs him (part of the drama is getting him to sign and they don't start off being romantically interested in each other).

really keep in mind the "in the near future" bc some things don't follow the logic of today...

just a typical light and sweet drama with classic jealousy, childhood friends competing, etc. Nothing new but not a bad production

yah, she probably just wasn't really plugged into the dubbing community (although it seemed like she was bc she knew the ML was the dubber and she also knew everyone else in the dubbing circle)...somehow she just didn't get the memo of who the famous FL dubber was (bc everyone else knew what she looked like).

is it necessary to review a post mortem report when they know how she died? We're also not sure if the parents knew (we are just pretty sure the sis doesn't know)...although now that I think of it, we aren't even sure that the fam doesn't know bc there's a possibility that they knew about the baby but didn't know that it wasn't the ML's. I guess we'll just wait until the ML confronts the fam/Lu Man to see what they really know.
But also I've noticed that this script has some inconsistencies (people hint at knowing things they don't actually know)
