ok so I just finished ep 1 (some of ep 2) I understand the FL was childhood lovers w/MuQianChu, who the younger sister (ShiDi) basically stole from her by just saying that she was the childhood lover after he underwent surgery (presumably for his blindness) but whyyyyy is no one else saying anything about it? The step-mom (who apparently cares for FL) and dad are concerned but how did they agree to this in the first place? Did no one else see the FL before (other friends/co-workers/the guy's sister)? ALSO the guy only gained sight two months ago and the guy is comfortable enough with the girl to get married (and he didn't even remember FL's name so that's why he was okay with the younger sis introducing herself...this is also another bit I'm confused bc eye surgery doesn't equal memory loss...wat)?
just had to type this all out bc it doesn't make sense to me...the flashbacks are not enough I'll see if my questions are answered in later eps LOLLL
The amount of mixed reviews, I'm going crazy wondering if I should watch this or not
Just finished the drama! I don't mind multiple couples. I don't think there was anything special about this drama, but I also appreciated that the couple didn't have any unreasonable breaks. A lot of drama surrounded the exes...and how the main CP dealt with it (the way we wish all dramas dealt with it) so maybe that's what's unique...both characters we're hurt by their significant other and they dealt with it reasonably while perusing their new relationship. I also really like that song they play at the bar...indie soft rock vibes (OSTs are usually pop or ballad, sometimes even hard rock)
LOLLL I just peeked at ep 15 on mgtv website (not premium, just the first 6 min)...realized its ep 1 subs pasted over T-T The actual subs are not the best too...not the absolute worst though I think (if I remember correctly)
you may or may not agree with me but I felt the first half was better than the last. the last half contained compilations…
I wasn't really a fan of the second CP either when they started their relationship...and it was pretty predictable. But I wouldn't consider this drama too tropey...I mean what struggle/complication has not been used before? What makes these situations tropey is the execution (we all know the outcome...but how do they get there?) and I think the execution wasn't bad (not mind blowing, but not boring). The FL in the locker room was pretty tropey, I have to agree (and it also didn't make sense how they janitor didn't know), what would make it even more tropey is if LuoXiaoYi told him to...oooof I would've hated that basic mean girl move. I've watched a lotttt of romcoms so maybe I'm a bit more lenient (although I do have a bottom line...off the top of my head the worst one of this year was Please Feel at Ease Mr.Ling).
Wow..so I've seen skate into love and my unicorn girl, both of them were pretty good...I was expecting the execution to be the same. But somehow this drama went beyond that. They really balanced the background stories of the characters + comedy + excitement from the competition (and its not too technical) + sweetness. Plus the chemistry...soooo goooddddd. 35 eps was a good length, felt substantial and not draggy...super consistent.
I have so many questionssss
but with no/bad subs, it might be even more confusing to understand if you aren't fluent
