I start to hate LZS. The screenwriter made his tricks so low and apparent in drama. In the novel, he's pretty…
I don't think it's a waste for Liu Xue Yi. With the 40 episodes to adapt a book of 181 chapters, his character is very good and significant in the story. In my opinion they did a good job. What really matters is how it ends. I can't hate LZS, but I understand why others hate him.
I think that the scriptwriter of the drama tries to translate the author's intention of the novel with this character. Is it his soul? How much has been lost, how much of the old persona, "what he was supposed to be." Is everything lost? Is there nothing left? And the element that still holds him within some bounds is Yu Ru. It's not that he loves her. Does he love what she represents? Perhaps he himself did not understand this. (I think that's what the screenwriter wanted to represent with the character.)
Luckily, he's up to the end of the drama.šš I want to see his story develop. And watch him meet his real father and come to understand what really happened in his past. Because there are facts that he does not fully know.
In the scene where the prince commits the crime, LZS really seems manipulative and cold, but in the scene where he allows Yu Ru to be physically punished, LZS seems so vulnerable and lost. PS: I remember that in episodes ago LZS stated that the childhood moments with Yuru is what allowed him to not be a complete monster.
Does he have a girlfriend? He has his own studio so does it mean he is not tied up to a talent management company?
Yes, he needs a good script. And I think it's coming in as a major main lead. Already filmed: 1-"Hua Mei" (Republican drama with Peng Xiaoran). 2-"What if" (Modern drama with Zhong Sunxi). 3- "In blossom" (costume drama with Ju Jing Yi). And it will record a fantasy. 1-A moment but forever", with actress Tiffani Tang. I think they are all great scripts, we just need to pass them on.š„°
Am I the only one that miss LZS presence? He's loathsome but I can't bring myself to hate him tbh... might have…
You're not the only one who misses him. I feel. Special guest are very few scenes. Yes, Liu Xue Yi (Luo Zi Shang) deserves to be the main male lead in some drama. And he is, but his dramas haven't aired yet. This year in recorded modern ("What if"), ("In Blossoms"), custom/romance/investigation , with actress Ju Jing Yi, finishing recording. And soon he will record a fantasy, "(A moment but forever)", with actress Tiffany Tang. Only now have they discovered the gem that is Liu Xue Yi (we have to wait).š„š„°š
Curiosity: Did you know that LXY was invited by the director at the last minute, because the actor who was going to play the role was rejected by fans of the work? This is Liu Xue Yi's fourth time working with this director (1-Legend of White Snake; 2- Love and Redemption; 3- Blood of Youth; 4- Destined. Always in very charming and important characters for the story, despite being supporting characters.

And I would like to know what is written on the fan.
