Underappreciated?! Mans appreciated to the moon and back!
Some of them did, sure, but that's just someone being in love. And if they say that they've never made sure that their crushes were safe and not wanting anything bad to happen to them is lying.
One word: masterpiece. In my opinion, obviously.A reply to my original comment from me will contain spoilers.
After watching the last episode, I feel like Su Hyeon had somehow redeemed himself and I honestly am surprised that I liked him at the end. Sure, he didn't do anything to stop Jae Min from harming Da On physically, but hey, he got there in time to stall Jae Min from killing Da On; so, that's something, right?
In regards of Jae Min.. yeah. There's no redeeming that monster. He should've took himself YEARS AGO. Regardless of how long you know someone, feelings and people change. Yes, Da On liked Su Hyeon in college, and then he liked Jae Min outside of college. And now he likes Seong Hyeon. Get over it, you fucking psychopath. With that said, feelings change and so do people. The only thing Jae Min deserves, in my opinion, is mental health help and prison time. Also, I'd just like to mention that normally I love characters like Jae Min. But there's something about Jae Min that strikes me in the wrong way. I have no love or appreciation for Jae Min. I have dislike and hatred for him.
Seong Hyeon has and always was my go-to BF for Da On. The loyal golden retriever puppy who will wait for his man a year until he finishes Da On's overseas branch project. I have nothing but praise for him and honestly, I could go on and on about how much I adore him. However, since this comment will most likely be on the longer side for each of the four, I'll stop here. Big puppy energy is the last thing that I'd like to mention.
I feel like a year away from Korea was good for Da On. Yes, the two were away from each other, but alone time did some good for Da On. Working overseas was a good way for him to get away from the madness that was his life in Korea. The only thing waiting back home for him was Seong Hyeon and his little sister; the two people who matter the most in his life.
Also, I'd like to address the fact that in episode 6 when Da Seol, Da On's little sister, talked to Seong Hyeon about how her brother acts here and there and asking for him to be patient with him. The fact that she wants someone good in her brother's life is what made her my favourite character out of them all. Second being Seong Hyeon and then Da On himself. And the fact that she knew that he was interested in men and was so supportive just shows how much love she has for him.
With all of that said in regards to the characters above, I can't tell you enough on how much anger, sadness, happiness, etc. that I went through watching this drama. It was one of those dramas that I couldn't stop myself from watching. This is in the same league of The Eighth Sense, Happy of the End, and The Untamed. Those dramas had the same effect that Secret Relationships had on me. The rollercoaster ride was filled with emotions.
And a big ole applause for the actors who played all of the characters, too, by the way. Bravo!
Passing the time in the comments whilst waiting for the next episode.. I need sleep, man. It's 7 AM here and I haven't slept. So, I might go to bed before shit hits the fan.
