Ok, this one is for the new comers, please never start or drop a drama after seeing a comment or review on mydramalist.…
Please can you tell me which drama got unreasonable hate because of the former partner shipping. I want to make sure I didn't miss out on any really good drama
After watching Marry My Husband today, I get now why i am so drawn to the lead couple here and how they are written.…
I like how you depicted the main leads relationship. Please could you tell me if the drama is worth watching. I keep seeing comments about an excess of annoying characters in this show, but I don't mind if the annoying characters that are not villains undergo character development or face consequences if they are antagonists. Would you recommend this drama?
Just finished it. Amazing. The current rating is absolutly underrated. This is totally up to other shows that…
I really want to watch this show, please can you tell me if there is a breakup after the leads get together. (I like slowburn and I couldn't check your comments below because I want to avoid spoilers)
iam also getting a doubt.or else why would the add that chatecter.if love triangle was the only purpose, they would…
Wouldn't the brother be in his 20s now? Plus the brother did not seem like he played ice hockey and the athlete had consistently been playing it for years
If you can, please let me know if this drama is worth watching after you finish it
Thanks for your review 😄. I'll give it a try. I don't need the relationship to be bubbly as long as I can believe in it. Sometimes a certain sentiment takes over all reviews and comments and it's hard to find an alternate opinion ✨🌟
So the K version is not about self-confidence and character growth than her looks but the other way around?
Even the kdrama version is about her self-confidence and character growth and her learning to take the leading role in her own life. Her makeover only lasted until she worked at the magazine and she reverted back to her original appearance when she started her dream job . Her makeover was certainly not initiated by the male lead, but was rather her way of starting afresh in the magazine with a new goal. The one major thing I liked about the male lead in general was that even when he was being a boss from hell, he never mentioned her looks, and he also didn't comment on the makeover as her being prettier (he was genuinely attracted to her personality in the present as well as the past). The only time I remember him calling her pretty was when they were washing dishes together (she had her original appearance) and that referred more to her looking happy and centered than any beauty standard. The couple of people in her workplace who were snide about her appearance weren't exactly shining beacons of morality and the actually useful characters were only initially taken aback and also didn't bring it up and did in fact value her work. Plus it does make sense (not that it's correct) that the magazine which was a part of the beauty industry that set these standards would not easily accept someone who did not adhere to those standards. The Jdrama is more or less completely based on the Kdrama, including the major themes of the show. It just has fewer flashbacks and both shows are fun to watch. I did not want you to get the wrong idea about a show that I truly love.
TLDR: JDrama and KDrama have similar themes based around self-confidence and the makeover was not simply about looks and was only temporary (plus who doesn't change their appearance once in a while)
