Compared to the previous movie I feel like this one is more balanced. The Pirates 2014 had way to many stories happening at the same time instead of just focusing on the pirates like this one. But this one is more stupid and unrealistic. Just like with the previous movie I feel like its too long and the romance is unnecessary and forced. Especially the second one... Lee Kwang Soo character was too annoying and had way too much screen time. Chae Soo Bin character was also annoying and completely unnecessary. Why was she even there?! Take her out and nothing changes. The final kill was awesome.
Okay I need to vent. I'm on 1/3 of the movie. For some reason they kidnapped this girl (a fake princess, a thief). And now she is part of the crew that goes on the main search for no good reason. There is no explanation as to why. She is just there. She doesn't bring anything to the search. She doesn't know anything about the map nor does she have any skill. Why is she even there?! If you want to add another female character make her make sense!
I enjoyed the movie but thought there was too many stuff going on. We follow the pirates/fl, bandits/ml, the ml nemesis, the fl nemesis, the kings court. Didn't really care about the characters except the whale. At a certain point there is a big storm coming and a waterspout that is of no significance at all. Why even show it.
im so glad so many agree with me ikr kill boksoon was so much more interesting
It was more interesting cause there was way less love drama in it in my opinion. But I'm not gonna lie, first time I watched Kill Bok Soon I fell asleep...
Kim Soo An has the most emotional, gut wrenching cry. The flow of the story was kind of weird and all over the place. Wish there were more wholesome moments with the grandmother and grandchildren and less with classmates. Boy were they annoying. But yeah, these kinds of movies mostly make me wonder what kind of child services they have in Korea because they are weird as hell. A social worker just leaves a kid in front of a house, doesn't even talk to the guardian to inform them, a couple just takes a baby. and then the kid. Is there no process for adopting or fostering. What is happening.

Okay. Very insightful. But hkw did she have the money to own such a big house afterwards. And give it to her new boyfriend. I assumed it was from his 500mil won. But if you are saying she didnt get that money from the tree where did she get the money. From a con that happened off-screen?

I guess she healed. The passage of time is weird. She was married to him for a while. For at least a year before she could give it. Dont get that law but okay. I thought she gifted him a house after divorcing. I still dont understand how she got the money from cutting a 500 million won tree. It wasnt even taken with its roots. Sarah kim and eun jae are the same person, but both identities are fake.
Guysss I just have doubt I'm on epi 3How did she get 500 million won before dying and if she has the money why…
She was selling bags online. In the end she took peoples money and ran off without sending them the merch. She wanted to be rich for one night so she went to a fancy store and a fancy hotel. Then she decided to die but while drowning she had a change of heart and a new goal. Now... what happened to all the purses she bought that night I have no idea.
Tried to watch it but I barely got through the first episode. Watched the rest by skipping. It is not just the acting that's bad but also the writing. The acting does improve but the dialogue is like it was written for children or intellectually disabled.
I'm sorry I hated the female lead! She literally killed someone who didn't even kill her son and she didn't look…
Lol watch again start of ep 13. After the guy decided to take the fall for his boss (or whatever he was to him) he ran over the child again to finish the job. He ain't no saint. And his attitude afterwards was despicable. He is equally responsible for the childs murder as the first guy that just hit the kid with his car. If not more responsible.
I feel like, if you want me to care about a mother looking and fighting for her child, you should make the child less annoying at the beginning of the film.
I watched this during a japanese festival in my city. Something happened and the sound/subs and video weren't in sync so that really impacted my expreience. There was a 2 sec delay (thats what they said) but I feel like it was 4 by around the third act. I feel so bad for the people that worked on the movie and were present. I liked the premise but the execution is not that good. There is no mystery or horror. Or tension. There were weird edits, shots and bad cgi. But my biggest complaint is the music. It was constantly in the background. There are no moments where it is just silence or nature noises, given that it mostly takes place in a forest.
Jesus christ I'm currently on ep 6 and still can't stand guho. Ep 5 was so much more enjoyable because there was so little of him. Can he for once just calm down and not comment everything they are doing. Also I do not think each heist has to stretch over two episodes especially when they are already 1 hour long. Change it up a little.
Not a bad movie. I quite enjoyed it but there were moments where I felt it dragged a little. Like there were moments that could have been trimmed a little. Some dream scenarios. I also felt like Ryu Seung Beom charecter was too over the top. I get its a dark comedy and it is supposed to be exaggerated but I felt all of the other characters were way more natural and he was just too cartoonish.
how is light shop and this, shared universe?? (i just started watching this but i finished light shop)
The same guy created the this show and moving and webtoon it is based on. A character from moving has a cameo in one post credit scene. The light shop character that interacts with them has one more scene in the second post credit scene with a new character that will either be in moving 2 or its own show called timing. Feel free to correct me. All this is at the end of ep 8.
