the fact that a little broken fox just wants to be approved and live up to the almighty name he was suddenly and randomly dutied to do and to become something he probably never have thought he can become...
mind you, all this was just thrown to him out of nowhere, from nothingness, no special power, and no connection whatsoever to even being a lineage of the dragons or of similar classification ...
how selfless and benelovent he must have been to persevere just to fulfill and keep a promise that he never even needed to do in the first place?
How could a scale from the oh so holy high and mighty Chi Wen turn into a demon? Makes no sense. Haven't they…
for me, i think its because loneliness isnt a good thing. its a dark feeling that haunts you.
and as the dragon scale feeds on this devastating, tragic, lonesome aura, overtime it changed its embodiment into that of dark, demonic energy, converting the once holy into a devil.
sounds like someone been skipping scenes cause they literally said you can't defy the will of heaven and that…
because obviously, love prevails beyond all. and if theres a will of hope, then theres a way; to find that one tiny sliver chance of breakthrough to defy it and thats what theyre trying to do.
If you can rewind time then just bring everyone back to life. Save us all the trouble. Don't be weird.
sounds like someone been skipping scenes cause they literally said you can't defy the will of heaven and that the long set destiny that has been written cannot be changed.
some people still doubts Ji Ling's love for Wuyi.... did we forget he literally yelled out he will marry her at the verge of death! That is like the most sweetest romantic desperate outburst revelation ever anyone can say when theyre in the most devastating state, in the most risky time, just full out confessing his kept feelings in fear of not making it out and losing her..
idk about yall but if someone said that to me at the most critical uncertainty time of surviving, I will follow and wholeheartedly give that person my whole heart!!!!
As I think about it more one may think puppet Ji Ling is a puppet, but tbh, I could never come to terms to him…
it can be unsettling when you think of them as having two personalities so its hard to accept that they can feel like 2 different people, and that the person Wuyi fell in love with isnt the Ji Ling now
but maybe you can think of it as this way for example, where puppet jiling was a high school lover you once fell in love with but then you fell apart and time past by now you meet again 10 years later, and the dragon deity Ji Ling is the more mature grown up version of the past boy you used to love. those time apart has made it feel alittle unfamiliar, hes changed, feels like a whole new person, because its been so long you havent seen each other but as time goes on, you still feel and see the high school boy version in him because of your strong lingering memories and experiences from the past with him so somewhat you still feel familiar towards him you just have to think youre with him during 2 different time phases of his life, but the familiarity is still there because the Ji Ling now still holds the memories and his past side he once was within himself
Does Ji Ling really love Lu Wuyi? He seems so fake. IMO
some love is shown through silent gentle tenderness and some are shown upfront all over your face, and you know what, its ok. It is up to the person who receives the affection to decide for themselves if thats the kind or which kind of love they want and like. You may not feel/see it since you probably prefer something more telling but maybe Wuyi can feel his sincerity and it already means the whole world for her even if there are claims Ji Ling isnt doing enough.
His behavior and personality seem very sus to me. I donβt think thatβs LJ...
i know...the directing of their scenes together already kinda showing hints but i dont want to think the worst... ππ i cantttttt pls just let it be the director just wanna play with our minds and hearts but hes actually still his big lil lijieee...
well, if Lijie turns out to be his imposter twin faking his memories, saying all these meaningful deep words and just pretending to be him just to also betray Ji Ling's trust later on, I dont think I can handle it and Im gonna turn the world upside down.... I don't need any more heartbreaks for this already poor sorrowful little broken fox... thats the last straw imma see to it!!!!
Some people who underestimated Tian Jiarui as an actor are likely those who did not watch him in MJTY or FOF.…
honestly thought I was watching like 5 different shows here whenever he changes character roles lmaooo! love the way he gives different vibes in each one, you can really tell the difference!
Ji Ling and Wuyi has been showing so much sugary affections in the past couple episodes where I was still too submerged in it that I would never ever really have thought it would end up being the two of them themselves causing heartbreaking pain to each other..... though im sure there are reasons but actually seeing them go thru this without knowing is just very tragically emotionally heart breaking
If Iβm being honest about Veil of Shadows, it really feels like a show that thinks itβs way smarter than it…
hmmm....does everything has to have meaning? maybe youre the type of person looking for series that gives you underlying messages, or life lessons, relative value and visual impact while some others may watch for other reasons like just going in for the journey, see how the characters work it out, or just watching to pass time without much thought; >very differently from your view.
And I don't think the director ever had claims to want it to be full of significant values or to be mind blowing at all; he could just simply want to show a story about pure love between characters who are too broken and how they find themselves, so this kind of criticism doesn't work in your favor, even though opinions are respected. Meaningful or not, some dramas you just roll with it to enjoy the experience, and for some others, if it is deemed significant, then so be it.
so regarding this time loop.... since Wuyi said she went thru countless times, did Lu Wuyi suddenly got stopped from her recurring laps because at this time of loop out of her many, Ji Ling came to visit her? and so is it logically to say that hes the one that has prevented her from repeating her loops and changed her fate? and I need to understand the puzzle of how did she get a stronger Word Magic than Ji Ling. cause I understand the part where she fights Han Ba and Shiguang over and over to know their moves but after that she was back to be awaken on the bed and her loop starts over again.
does that mean the part where Ji Ling tries to control her to tell him the truth was also a repeated loop and thats how she was absorbing his powers thru this?
