so from all these intense theories and discussions today, I come to the only one right conclusion and that is.......

because hes the one thats interrelated between them all. Hes the one that knows info and secrets from past dragons, 4 demons, and jiuying and all the history since hes been long trained for it. Do you think that a 10th dragon that just got his dragon powers and havent much idea of this whole ordeal until now could just up and lead the group when he just found out his origin? Where do you think these other characters would even begin if they dont get the info from the dragon deity standin whos been preparing for his whole life?

I don't get people's rant about just because a new actor is in, he should get less screen time and is undeserving of getting the hype. If the person fits the role and can deliver his act, So What?? If the director sees the potential in the person’s abilities and trusts in their capabilities to bring the story to life, so be it. They have sharp eyes to select those who are fitted for each role. Even of these allegations that GJM is playing favorites, you have to start somewhere right? If you got the skills, potential, and the look for it, then of course you will get pushed up. Thats how everywhere in the world works; be it at school, work, family, community, anywhere. It shouldn't just be only "popular actors" should get all the main roles. If thats the case, I dont think we can find any more real hidden talents. Each cast was selected to fit their way of acting and overall presence. This is how we find new faves all the time. Yall need to appreciate all the acting and emotions, and personas these actors portrayed more than counting minutes.

Would yall had been happy if all these 4 main characters were given to top popular faves but they suck at delivering and portraying the story and their characters to the people/viewers? I don’t think I would have been moved as much as I am now, because I actually appreciate all the different feelings, emotions, expressive skills these known AND less known actors have shown individually, being partners, and as a team, regardless if they are main characters, supporting, or how much screentime they have.

am I insane or I can watch Tian Jiarui cry all day? Whenever he cries, i can't take my eyes off him...like his emotions are acting and real all the same while being such a majestic visual too...

should we just all go to black river? i think wu zhiqi is still there

but bro, all of Ji Ling's transformations are hella sick!!???!! like, ppl be complaining about visuals is all GJM can do to his directing but likeeeee, Tian Jiarui is SERVING!!!!

From what i got:
Both Ji Ling and Lijie were both people in Shilin Sect which is under the rule of the real Dragon Deity Chi Wen. Lijie used to be the old man commander, a human called Yuan Wuhuo, who we saw that went to die in the cave.
He was a trainer/commander to young JiLing who just started his Dragon Deity duty after real Chi Wen sealed Jiu Ying (though we havent seen how Ji Ling was chosen to be the deity and brought into shilin sect, unless i missed it).

When the human Yuan Wuhuo went to die in the cave, Jui Ying sent the 2 twins Butterfly Demon to devour the human Yuan Wuhuo to get his form and memories > hence the cocoon. Since the 2 twins butterfly demon originally were 2 people, Yuan Wuhuo was formed again as 2 people>> one evil and one not. The evil one went to Jiu ying and the good one lost his memories and only remembered to go to Shilin sect and so Ji Ling named him Lijie.

honestly fr tho. Dragon deity Ji Ling was already sussing, and thinking to zap his power on Wuyi if she had done so... I was so nervous she gonna make him feel betrayed and complicate things but glad she thought otherwise.

right. you would think having 2 pairs of couple means getting a long series...but to get not even the standard amount of episodes is ...diabolical

good good. loving all the personal talk each couple get to do alone to resolve most of their unsettling feelings. Communication is key, everyone!!

what do you meannnn. i think it actually did and was nice because they are able to see where they stand in each others life now after going thru all that in the illusion. Life cant just return back to how they were enemies and it probably doesnt feel the same again to them. Plus its great to see them solidifying their feelings for each of the couple.

I am getting anxious every time now because we don’t know what lies ahead and Im nervous of getting to the ending… my stomach flips whenever i start the incoming episodes because I can never tell what will happen since there could be so many twists and unforeseen events that keeps me on the edge may it be sweet, unexpected, or something bad that probably leaves me in sorrow

does the words "and I'll marry you!" from Chi Wen say so otherwise????

im too immerse in the drama that these episodes be going too fast, it feels like its only been 10 minutes...
while i'd be watching some others of the same length and 45 minutes be feeling like 2 hours...
