I have a lot of things to say, and none of them are nice… but lemme STFU until more episodes drop (at least half of them) before I judge too harshly.
From the whole AI thing to the storytelling in the few episodes that have been released… it’s not looking good.
No tea, no shade, gurl. 😐 This one started as a bust. Most of all, the AI thing is the biggest turnoff for me here. There’s no doubt that AI has become embedded in almost every aspect of our lives, and there’s hardly any system that doesn’t use it in some way, shape, or form. But I think something as sensitive and intricate as a movie or TV series intro shouldn’t be created with AI.
The people who work in that department are already struggling with limited job opportunities. Let’s not waste water and destroy the planet more when there are better alternatives.
Honestly overhyped dramas have been so disappointing lately. I genuinely thought this was going to be one of the most anticipated and talked about dramas of the year, but it turned out to be such a letdown. The ML is basically a yandere with zero sense of boundaries, and instead of being romantic, it’s just uncomfortable to watch. I really don’t understand why this kind of behavior keeps getting glorified.
And can we talk about the AI? What is going on with it? It looks so cheap and poorly done that it completely takes me out of the story. With the budget and all the hype this drama had, I expected much better production quality. It honestly feels like they cut corners wherever they could. This drama had so much potential but instead of living up to the expectations, it ended up being another overhyped disappointment
The thing is, I'm not necessarily upset that the intro is AI, that wont really stop me from watching the show fr. I'm mad that instead of hiring a good artist to make the intro or hell, even using CGI they decided to take a shortcut (and the intro isn't even that good fr). And some of y'all aren't looking at the bigger picture. If they're willing to take shortcuts here, what other shortcuts are they willing to take? Then some of y'all are saying, "Well, it's not like AI was used in the actual episodes." Girl... there are 33 episodes total, and only 5 have been released so far. Who's to say they haven't used? Plus, there are already shows out that have used AI in some epsiodes.
