I started Fall In Love for Evan Lin but left being a fan of CXX. Absolutely loved him in that one, but here he is even better. The way he played the 3 shards and then Youqin who is a mixture of all 3 of them now. Love it. Need to watch his other shows too.
Omg Wu Dai is the cutest! I love how he is always crying about Qing Kui and not afraid to own it! Snake Saintess is lovely as well and not a nut job even though she has a crush on Wu Dai.
I loved it when Wu Dai said to her “I heard they don’t want to marry you because you’re ugly but I think you’re pretty.” Bless him he’s so precious.
I love the offbeat heroes in this series. YQ, La Mu, Heartless, Wu Dai. Definitely not that suave and a bit awkward but so adorable.
This drama and starry love is my daily now. I was so thrill to find a feel good costume Chinese drama, with an interesting plot and good pace. If you are looking for a costume drama with a well-directed, well-written script and professional actors? This may be one of them. and what can i say about Li Yitong? She caught my eye since Bloody romance, beautiful actress with great talent, I hope she continues to shine.
I am here again to just spread some love for this drama. I’m so hooked and so excited for what’s to come now that Yi Hwan knows with complete certainty that him and Jae Yi are on the same side. I’m still not so certain Tae Gang is the person behind everything - hes too funny and doesn’t seem conniving and he was at the Dakyu game when the person went to the prison AND wearing a different head band at the time. Also the voices didn’t match to me! I don’t know! But I LOVED Yi Hwan showing off in the Dakyu game and Jae Yis reaction! I’m just obsessed with this lead couple - I love their softness and humour with each otherI also liked that Yi Hwan is keeping a bit of distance between them out of respect for her engagement.
I'm impressed so far, no major plot holes, the mystery is engaging. Even side characters are somewhat fleshed out. FL suits the role well here, she's not afraid to use her face to express comedic parts of the script. There are some actresses who literally have two expressions throughout an entire drama, it's like they're always concerned about best camera angle vs expressing emotions but FL isn't like that. I thought her character in The Knockout was kinda blah but she impressed me here. ML is decent, too.
If we continue to get solid screenwriting, this could be one of 2023's unexpected gems.
