After watching the last several episodes I was hoping I'd get some answers but 🤣 Nah.... so basically it's being torn between "What WAS this story about" and "A barebones reason for a jealous ML to run around half-naked and kiss a lot" 🤣🤡🙈🤷‍♀️

Since it’s a mainland Chinese drama about modern social issues, there’s almost no chance it’ll end badly. Stories involving crime, trauma, or justice must be approved by the censorship bureau, and they always require a positive and law-abiding resolution, the system has to win, justice must be served, and the message has to promote social harmony. So she’ll definitely get justice, and the couple will heal together. It’s basically guaranteed under China’s review policies.

Just to clarify, I don’t know any spoilers or the real ending, I’m just saying this based on how the censorship system works in China. Even if the original story was tragic or ended with injustice, once it goes through censorship, the drama usually changes completely, especially when it portrays contemporary settings or sensitive issues that touch on government responsibility.

Yeah its happy ending. The editing might feel crappy at times because the ban on 'time travel' theme was running and they cut pieces. It could be felt xD But it didnt effect my joy while watching.
And yes some of them really look so handsome. Raymond Lam was in Rule the world. I crushed on him so bad that I couldnt watch him with normal hair for a while lol
In Scarlet Heart same thing happened with Lin Geng Xin & Yuan Hong.
Those dramas were my first time watching them so I searched their names to watch more. BUT normal hair styles were like biting my eyes I took some time off to cont watching.. They looked and felt a lot mroe handsome with Qing Dynasty hair I dont know how T^T

haha I know! When I first end up watching Startled by each step aka Scarlet Heart I was like !!!! their head wow... then I realize it adds to their handsome features in a way when you get used to watching.
After a while I started worrying for their sinusitis cause it was mostly filmed in winter lol
Now that I think about it there is another one which I personally love it but some people really disliked it.. its called Rule the World.
