Both are contract marriage stories in which the couple actually met years before in school and the ML had a crush/considered her his only friend. Both MLs are seemingly cold/withdrawn but have a warm heart, and both have trauma from the loss of their brother. Both MLs have a sick relative (mother vs. grandmother) who they're making happy by the marriage/etc.

Both are light historical dramas in which the FL is forced to marry the ML who is pretending to be a eunuch. Despite a rocky start, both couples end up falling in love. Both dramas appear to be adaptations of the same novel.

Both are BL love stories with a melancholy and poignant tone in which the couple met years ago when one was still a child and the other who he viewed as a big brother tragically died which continues to haunt the now adult child. However due to supernatural circumstances the two meet again, now the same age, and fall in love. Both dramas have a bittersweet ending.

Both are shorter length dramas in which the ML has two very different personalities. At first his behavior confuses the FL until she learns his secret.

In both dramas, one or both of the leads time travel within a limited period of time, trying to change events in the present/near future that they don't have the full picture of. The ML's personality changes from what it is initially (from cheerful to withdrawn/somber in MDD and from selfish to self-sacrificing in TWY), and both FLs are sunshine personalities who bring light to the ML's life. Both couples have very good chemistry.

Both involve a guy and a girl exchanging bodies and experiencing character growth as a result.
