Although I feel really bad for Harry — he is innocent in all of this— I hate how he keeps spoiling everyone else's plans for Di Liren. I wish they would just tell him and like get him on their side already.
this show is pure ragebait. Evey episode I have to remind myself that is just a drama before I start crashing out. Sick of ts forcing me to ty and drop it.
my patience is running SO thin, I need her to wrap everything up and get a divorce. I hate how dragged out this…
let me guess smthn right now: they are going to get involved (the fl and ml) or at least have ✨moments✨, and he is going to secretly take pictures and use that against her.

While the plot is interesting, I'm getting VERY tired of Yu making a move and then Di Li immediately countering it, but worse. I need the plot to change direction from this push-and-pull quickly
Currently at episode 4, and what I don't understand is how frail Ha Na is in Haru's body. She doesn't have his skills, yes, but she should have his raw strength???? Like she can't lift or pull the tire, which just doesn't make sense.
You know, even though I adore the unique stories of these women freeing themselves from the shackles of the patriarchy, and love the way this drama portrays women in general, I feel that the story has lost direction in the last couple of episodes. And the time skips make it really hard to understand. The pacing seems off. We were also definitely robbed of the kiss scene. They consummated their marriage, but why?? Why did Lanxiang suddenly bring her walls down and accept him? Thus far, her attitude towards him has just been a guarded mutual respect between husband and wife, so why the sudden change?? What happened in the last 2 years?? What was even the purpose of this whole "distance makes the heart grow fonder " business if they aren't going to show it? And even if they didn't show it, what the hell was that kiss scene??? I understand that the purpose of this drama is not romance, but even still, after 39 episodes of seeing them change, grow, and love, we deserved some emotional payoff. Their atoms briefly shared magnetic fields for like 0.01 seconds, and BOOM, baby. Like ok boy, whatever you say. I also hate that she didn't tell him her secret. What, she warned him to not become a pawn to be discarded?? Great point, but not really necessary here.
Damit, I really loved this show. It felt like I was actually a part of their relationship. The ending was definalty rushed, because how did Mr. 'Your brain is stupid' go from that to having a PhD in expressing emotions??? I was squealing post-breakup tho, it was good, it's a shame we didn't get more of it. We definitely deserved it after 21 episode of madness.
The pacing of this drama feels so off sometimes. Like, where did all of the character development go, Luke? I loved Tao Tao for voicing her thoughts so well, but how did we even get here?? Wasn't she horrible with it just last episode? And Luke was a lot better just last episode; what happened?? You can really tell they cut out like 8 episodes. I cried a lot during this episode. Yuan's death literally broke me, and they portrayed it so well. My heart aches for both Tao and Sun Yun. Luke pissed me off; it's one thing to be jealous, but he took it too far. Love Flora for standing her ground. With only 4 episodes left, they are definitely going to rush it.
I feel like they start to adapt too many webtoons instead of original scripts and the writing quality has seriously…
I also feel like these scripts don't have anything to say anymore. It's the same core idea of finding yourself, and chasing your dreams, and loving yourself. I miss when each drama had a message to convey, like something meaningful to put out into world.
I hate when I'm watching a drama, and I can tell it had a very good core script, but was then watered down to fit the tropes of the industry just to increase viewership. I swear K-dramas have lost the heart that used to make them so enjoyable; the need to deliver a good story is no longer the standard. Now, it's the same unnecessary tropes to fulfill this imaginary expectation, like a 3rd-act breakup when it isn't necessary, or relationship problems for an otherwise healthy couple, or making a character act the polar opposite of their personality to check an invisible box (case in point: moving to Paris). It's really disheartening, and I'm getting tired.
I think Flora told these about thought to Luke cuz now she wants to see a future with him so they can go in that…
Yes, but 'now' is 4 years into their relationship. At no point in this timeline has she or her actions expressed that she wanted to go in that direction. I'm not saying she can't want that, but she has been so distant with Luke throughout their relationship, from not wanting to be public to not telling him anything about her personal life (Dony, the dating app, the whole apartment thing when she got hit). She has always, at least from both my and Luke's precepective, regraded him as her boss WAY before her boyfriend. And you just don't do that and expect him to have a ring in a box waiting so this can continue but now with legal papers. She can take this leap of faith, she can want this and tell him that she wants this, but it is very unreasonable to think that he has been waiting at her feet like a desperate puppy, ready to snatch her up to wifey level, especially with the kind of person he is.
