This was discussed here a few months ago and I think the conclusion was that it was a mistake? I don't remember…
Thank you for the reply! I've finished the drama and loved it so much, but I am very much a timeline person so this irked me a bit haha. It seems like he died sixteen years ago, which would make the flashback begin a few years earlier. It's very possible they didn't want to show how much time passes before he died, or they don't know the exact timeline themselves, but in the end it doesn't matter too too much. As you said, it is easy to overlook small errors when the drama as a whole was so good! :)
I have a quick question! So at the start of the first episode it says "Sixteen years ago," as in it's been sixteen years since Wei Wuxian died. However, at the end of the second episode, it shows "Sixteen years ago" again, even though this time it takes us back to a good while before Wei Wuxian dies. How much time exactly passes between the beginning of the flashback and his death? Can we assume that the flashback takes us back originally further than 16 years ago or did he die less than 16 years ago? It probably shouldn't bother me so much but it does lol. Thanks!
Man, Thai slapstick comedy is such an acquired taste! I didn't realize that before, but while watching this series…
completely agree! i was watching this with my mom in the room and she was like "this is like a cartoon except with real people" and i hadn't realized how different it was to my typical humor until that moment hahaha. you definitely get used to it over time!
Tutor is a first year, right? I keep thinking he's a second year student
idk if i remember this wrong, but i think they're all second year students besides fighter? just because of the flashback to their first year where it showed tutor, saifah, and day getting initiated into the engineering major. and then since tutor and zon are friends from school i assume he is the same age as them. could be wrong though?
This was so damn cute! The friend group was everything, they were so funny together and I love the way they teased each other but at the end of the day had each other's backs. All the romances were super cute too. Can't wait for season 2!
i feel like the reason he hasn't gotten a main role yet is because he's such a scene-stealer that they know giving him a bigger part would make him too powerful...
can i just say that boss and pear were so cute!! this just proves that gunsmile deserves a leading role! he would smash it!! gmmtv give the man what he deserves for god's sake!
Did anyone notice that at the end of the episode Pang says "Time is on our side" and "Time has brought us back together again?" I love the double meaning behind those lines!
I knew nothing about this show and only started it because it is the highest rated show on this website. Holy shit, did it not disappoint. I was not ready to be this emotionally wrecked. A lot of times it's hard for me to get through longer shows, but I had absolutely no problem with this one. I just finished the last episode and have no idea what to do with my life now lol. The story line, acting, character development, music, costume and set design, cinematography, all of it is so beautiful and well-done. Highly recommend to anybody who is on the fence. I have a feeling this one will stay with me for a while.
ugh not a fan of this one! this is the only "en of love" installment i've watched since people said it was the best one but if that's true i def won't waste my time with the others. the only positive was the acting/chemistry was pretty good. they did the best they could with the material. but imo the dialogue was awkward, the storyline wasn't enjoyable and extremely hard to follow timeline-wise, and nothing interesting happened. i wanted to like it but i just didn't. it's short so you could give it a try if you have nothing to do but i recommend watching other things!
I feel like I'm the only one who didn't really like Pick and Rome's storyline for the most part? Like Din was catfishing Pick which is terrible but like he was still going along with it?? So he was still not being faithful to Rome whether the girl was actually real or not. This is never addressed though and it made me really mad. He was also just so unpleasant to be around a lot of the time. Idk how Rome has the patience lol
This season frustrated me so much. I loved the first season so much, but almost every character was unlikable here! I only really cared for Rome and Friend by the end of the show. Emma and Porsche put no effort into their relationship and gave up so fast, and Pick was literally such an ass. Also the friendships that really made the show for me in season 1 were almost nonexistent here (esp Emma and Rome, who really had no reason to be that way). I really loved the last part of the last episode, as that is the only time that we got the squad fully back together and happy like season 1. Why couldn't there have been more of that earlier?
