Love this series. Quick question have any of y’all watched together with me. I didn’t watch it at first because…
i've watched it and i personally don't think it's anything too special but it wasn't bad. there are good elements to it for sure. you can always skip sex scenes if you aren't comfortable and see if you like the plot if you wanted to give it another try

I get the feeling that Earth wanted Sam to feel like everything was back to "normal" and okay so when Earth cheats…
that's definitely possible! but that doesn't seem like earth to me. earth has always seemed like a pretty straight up and honest guy. i don't think he would go out of his way like that to hurt someone and i also don't think that hooking up with stud was planned at all, which it would have had to been for him to have made the decision to trick sam earlier. i think they either should have not had earth and stud hook up or not have sam and earth be in such a good place before it happened. maybe they could have played it where earth thinks sam is out with pop which causes a misunderstanding that ends with him and stud hooking up. but to give them no conflict beforehand just feels off to me.

I agree with every point you made! Locker is so strange. If you ask me, he is just another asshole that lies out…
i guess i should clarify-- i think earth's feelings for stud and actions are out of the blue. i have felt that stud had feelings for earth, but never the other way around. in season 1 earth was completely in love with sam, and then when he broke his trust he hated both of them before ultimately being more forgiving of sam. in this season, earth has been begrudgingly letting stud back into his life, but i just haven't felt anything beyond platonic feelings coming from him. in the flashbacks, they do kiss, but that's all. i never saw emotions for stud from earth that we see when he first meets sam. i think it was super odd for earth to cheat there. like i said before, him and sam left off in a really good place, and it's not in earth's nature to cheat (he had the opportunity earlier in the season when he was more pissed at sam and he didn't do it). idk that scene just felt super out of place and out of character. it's cool to hear other opinions though!

First I say season 3.. But Boyo with Good?! You want her to go back with him?! I really hope she is done with…
i would love for there to be a season 3 bc this series is so fun! i don't think i've ever seen gmmtv do a season 3 but we can hope! i don't necessarily believe they SHOULD get back together, but i think they WILL. let's be real, none of these couples should have ended up together after season 1 lol, but i kind of expect them to pull the same shit again here. i do think their relationship is different bc the problem was lying in the fact that good has trouble committing more than that he was embarrassed to be with boyo/believing rumors about her. tor was such an ass in season 1 bc he let hearsay and rumors get in between him and boom, and openly flirted with other girls while he was with her. good is just more noncommittal, not flirting with girls but not stopping them either. i think they could work if good is willing to take it more seriously this time around. i would love a single boyo at the end tho! that would be best case!

i know i'm in the minority here, but i really disliked that earth and stud scene. it felt so out of the blue. earth and sam were on super good terms in the last scene, and now suddenly earth is gonna cheat bc he "feels like being bad"? if they had fought before or something it would make more sense but they didn't. they just decided to get a fucking house together! it felt like a switch went off or something.

on another note, the actress that plays bew is doing so well. i felt for bew in this episode. i think the scene between her and earth was super well done and important. and i agree that she needs space away from safe. i also think she needs professional help as well, and i would love if they addressed that.

also cris and amm were so cute in this episode! i'm glad that amm reacted the way she did when cris told her. that was a really sweet scene:)

i'm a bit confused about what locker's endgame plan is. he's playing both boyo and music, but why? boyo isn't giving him what he wants so why doesn't he just be with music. it doesn't make sense to me

also i ship boom and tod. that man is husband material forreal, and tor is an ass. dump him boom!

i'm glad they added another episode, bc there's no way this could all be wrapped up in one. this season has been a lot of fun so far! def better than season one imo!

Although I don't want this to end so soon; does anyone know what will air on Fridays after Friend Zone 2 has ended…
hmmm i'm not sure maybe oh my boss or girl2k? i think those are the only two besides tale of a thousand stars that hasn't aired yet and i think they are both done with filming, but i'm not positive

Title Together with Me Spoiler
I put off this one for a long time (three years to be exact) and I'm just getting to it. On episode 7 now and…
i'm glad you loved it! now that you've finished, i'll say more in depth what i don't love about it. i don't like how it relies on the villainization of the girlfriend trope, as happens so often in bls. i felt like pleng had no real motive for her actions, as she wasn't even that interested in knock. that's one of the things i have a hard time with, especially with the fact that they gave us yihwa and fai who i love. i also was just super frustrated with knock and thought korn deserved much better. he dragged korn along for so long and wouldn't break up with pleng for legit no reason that made sense. if you are with someone and are not interested in them but stay with them, that is only hurting you both more. i don't get why he thinks staying with her would be better for her, and he also makes korn collateral damage. the fact that there relationship was dragged out until literally the last episode made me so mad. i was rooting for korn and mew lowkey lol. also, as i stated before, i dislike both side couples so that took away from the show rather than enhance it like they should. the doctor is disgusting and what he did to farm made me so sad. and i just feel uncomfortable with teacher student relationships as a whole. as i mentioned, there were things i enjoyed a lot (yihwaaaa), and the friend group is great which is always one of my favorite aspects of shows that i watch. also of course max and tul nail it, and the rest of the cast.

sorry about the essay haha, and i'm glad you loved it more than me! i liked it as well, but i just feel like it isn't as good as people make it out to be. the first episode of manner of death already got me hooked though, and i can't wait for more!

how are they going to resolve all these storylines in two episodes? i'm a bit worried tbh. i feel like the boyo/good/music/locker situation could be handled fine enough, as it would only take boyo finding out about the two of them to leave him and then get back with good. but everyone else still has a fair bit to do with not much time to do it. it looks like earth is gonna cheat on sam w stud next episode, which i hate but i know some people are excited for. i don't see a way for this to be resolved in an episode. like that's a big thing to throw into episode 11! not to mention that stud still kinda has something going on with pop. i also feel like something is going to happen with boom and tod, since they've been building up tor acting like an ass in the past few episodes. and then we have cris and amm and cris' bipolar. i just already know there's not gonna be enough time devoted to this in the last two episodes. this storyline is something that could span an entire season on its own, but cris' bp was just kinda tossed in there. and then of course we have safe and bew who also need to have proper resolutions to their story. i feel like there's no way to do all this in two episodes without it feeling rushed/sloppy/unfinished. hopefully they are able to tie everything together!

i'm glad you're enjoying it! i feel like a lot of the hype this one gets it because of chemistry between max and tul and the... spicier scenes lol. without taking that into account, the storyline is frustrating and not super interesting in my opinion. i don't wanna give anything away since you're still in the middle of it, so i can explain more once you have finished. it's not bad, but i just don't think it's anything too special. especially since i felt the need to skip through a good chunk of scenes (those side couples ugh). i'd love to hear your thoughts once you've finished! i also can't wait for manner of death to start tomorrow because these two are great and have amazing chemistry, so i'm excited to see that with a better plot in the mix! :)

i was a bit behind but i just caught up and can i just mention the part when boom apologized for her outfit when some of the employees were ogling her and tod told her she could dress however she wanted and it's the guys' faults that they were acting that way... that was very sexy of him

Sam needs to dump Earth and find someone who appreciates him. He made a mistake and he's trying to make up for…
i mean it's kinda hard to gain trust again after something like that, especially if it's a close friend. also, sam is doing nothing to get pop out of his life. he is such a pushover, like why did he engage with him at all. i agree sam and earth aren't right for each other, but i don't think it can just be blamed on earth

Title I Told Sunset about You Spoiler
This was an incredible masterpiece. It had the tone of early 2000s, gay, indie coming-of-age films that I absolutely…
i understand what you're saying about the ending, but i love that it subverted expectations and was happy. while their relationship going a different way may have been more likely in similar cases, i think we deserve to see a happy ending in these situations every now and again. like a fairytale:) i'm sure they have all sorts of struggles like that to come in uni though... i don't see teh being open to displaying or sharing his relationship with his new uni friends since he just accepted himself. we shall see how it goes!

i haven't watched this yet so your comment is making me think whether to watch this or not. but i can say that…
i personally think the way karleen has handled pearl's feelings for her is kinda biphobic, but i respect your opinion. it felt like she was invalidating pearl's feelings for her (as well as her friend getting married) just because they've dated guys before. it seems like she believes none of her exes were ever actually attracted to her just because they've dated guys after they were with her, which implies that they couldn't be attracted to both guys and girls. the only reason karleen didn't want to date pearl was because pearl is bi, also implying that she's straight at first which is again, invalidating her feelings and displaying the belief that pearl could only be attracted to one gender. i'm not sure exactly what you mean when you compared this situation to all straight women being homophobic. straight women aren't attracted to women at all, which isn't just a preference. karleen is obviously attracted to pearl, and has an emotional connection with her, but the only thing that's stopping her is her sexuality. i respect ur opinion though and like hearing other points of view!
On Pearl Next Door Nov 23, 2020
Title Pearl Next Door Spoiler
i feel like karleen's explanation could have been better. i understand it hurts when someone breaks up with you for someone else, but just because that someone else is a guy doesn't inherently mean your relationship with them was meaningless or that they weren't attracted to you/in love with you. i feel like it'd be different if karleen had been told by her exes "oh yeah i'm straight i just wanted to experiment" or that kind of thing because then i can see her hesitation getting with someone who doesn't define themselves as a lesbian. but just dating a man afterwards doesn't mean she was an experiment.

all of this said, it's annoying me that she rejected pearl (in a way that i found biphobic and also invalidated pearl's feelings) and forced her into a friendship right away that pearl found difficult because she was still dealing with her feelings. and now that she's trying to move on while still being friends with karleen, which is exactly what karleen asked for, karleen wants to come in like "i like you so don't date anyone else but also i can't date you because you're bi"??? like no sweetie. i understand that these are complicated feelings and i understand the feeling of not being emotionally available but also not wanting someone to move on. but it's so unfair to pearl for her to act this way. she needs to figure out her feelings in a way that isn't hurting pearl or being selfish. she aggravates me so much.

Question ~ Can you watch this without watching the prequel?
i know a lot of people have answered you already, but i'll just add-- the first season is waaay better than this season in my opinion. i like this season, but the first season was much better in a lot of ways. so if you were to only watch one season of this show, i would recommend the first season!

If I watch this part and don't watch the part 1 I will understand the history?
i definitely recommend watching season one, as it will give backstory as to how all these couples got together. also, it's just really good and funny! i think you'll be missing out if you skip to season two. you might be able to piece together what happened if you reeallllly wanna skip it, but i recommend watching. :)
