people dont talk abt this show that much and thats a problem. def one of the best thai series i've watched!!
i think a big part of it is that it's difficult to find it, and impossible to find it legally for most people. i really wish nadao bangkok made all of their shows more accessible for international audiences bc they truly pop off every time and more people need to have access!

i think the difference is that fz is supposed to display dysfunctional relationships, and the actions the characters…
i agree that there should be more gl shows! hopefully this couple and the couple in wake up ladies 2 will open up the doors to the possibility of a lead gl couple one day. we can dream!

that's definitely a good message for a show to have. you are right that opinions will differ for pretty much every show ever made and that's a good thing bc it allows so many different genres to flourish. i'm gonna see thc through bc i love the cast too much not to. hopefully it will surprise me :) thanks for the replies!

i think the difference is that fz is supposed to display dysfunctional relationships, and the actions the characters…
thanks for your reply! i always love being able to have a discussions like this. i completely understand what you're saying about the stereotypes displayed in fz. the thing that makes it different for me is that pretty much EVERYONE in the show is promiscuous or unable to stay faithful to their partners, not just the gay characters. the straight men have cheated, the straight women have slept around, the gay men, as you have discussed, have also cheated. the lesbian couple is the only functional relationship rn lol. although with this show i don't doubt that they'll have their own problems.

as for comedy vs. drama, i also agree that drama is not more "upstanding" than comedy, as you put it. i think of it more scene to scene and how i think the director is wanting us to interpret a scene. when a character does something, and there's goofy music and sound affects, we are supposed to laugh. however, if the action is blatantly homophobic and the gay friends are fake laughing along, i don't really find it funny. i think (hope) that ton will come around in a serious and real way, and in that case i will like the show more. but just from what i've seen, the comedy isn't landing for me and instead turning me off from the show. i'm still going to give it a chance though!

I like this series. What I find interesting is that those who are screaming "toxic" have little compassion for…
i think the difference is that fz is supposed to display dysfunctional relationships, and the actions the characters make are not supposed to be played off for laughs. it also doesn't make homophobia a joke. in fact there's like no homophobia that i can remember, except in maybe one scene and it's shown clearly as being terrible. tonhon chonlatee is supposed to give us a main couple to root for to end up together, but it isn't. internalized homophobia is a real thing and should be addressed, but i don't like the angle this show is taking it tbh. i'm not saying that fz doesn't have it's flaws, but it's different imo.

do you mean the series overall or just this season? in the series as a whole he's an artist and a pretty laidback…
no problem! i hope you enjoy it if you do decide to watch :)

ok i was LIVING when pop invited the guys to lunch and just casually says "we've all had sex with sam" like BITCH! this is the mess i watch this show for lmao

also i feel like tor was 100% right when he broke up with boom. she has certain expectations that he will just never meet. it's not that he's a bad boyfriend, at least not in this season, but he isn't a particularly good one either. boom wants and deserves someone better, and he can't change enough to become that person. he' s ultra focused on his career and she wants to start settling down. they want different things. i think it's good they broke up.

Haven't watched yet, but can someone give me a summary of Lee's character?
do you mean the series overall or just this season? in the series as a whole he's an artist and a pretty laidback guy who doesn't really take anything seriously, including relationships. in the first season, he moves in with boyo and boom and gets into a friends with benefits relationship with boyo, but she starts catching feelings and wanting something more. he has a relationship with a slightly older woman and starts to develop feelings for her, but they aren't reciprocated. in the end, he decides to try being in a relationship with boyo. in this season, he hasn't had quite as big of a role. him and boyo were in a relationship at the start, but he didn't really put much effort into it so she broke up with him. now he's realizing that he messed up and wants to get back with her but she is with someone new. there's definitely a looooot more to the story but that's kind of the bare bones of his character's arc.

i really enjoyed this series! it had a good amount of comedy and drama, and kept me entertained all the way through. my biggest problem with the series is the way taai is handled. it was clear from the start that he needed professional help for his mental health. the fact that peng didn't recommend this for him or no medical professionals referred him is really troubling. chalan literally saw him hallucinating and just leaves without taking any actions to get help for this man. it was clear he was very troubled, and he was literally surrounded by doctors and still no one did anything. if he had seen someone to help him with his ptsd, depression, trauma, and hallucinations, dao's death could have been avoided. that being said, bank did an incredible job with the role. the scene where he met tantawan gave me chills.

I don't hate him. He is one of my fave characters. I just think that the development he had from Season 1 until…
i feel the same way. this is not the earth we've come to know. also, he is showing no remorse at all for his actions. if he wants to sleep around, that's fine. but he should break up with sam first and not cheat on him right after they decided to get a freaking house together.
Replying to Noy Dec 12, 2020
I knew they would do that...I don't like how he is like...what if ppl told you to stop stop being bad? How is…
right? boom is like the only person in this show who hasn't cheated now lol. the whole thing is just weird
On Friend Zone 2: Dangerous Area Dec 11, 2020
i understand that earth is having a moment or whatever, but i still can't help but find him out of character here. in my opinion, i haven't seen any build up of this happening and now it's like a switch went off. not only did he cheat, but he is showing almost no remorse at all about it. he didn't seem to regret it when he talked to boom about it, and also doesn't feel the need to talk it out with stud even though they are close friends and will see each other often. i understand he was hurt by stud and sam, and i hated them for that in season 1, but at this point a lot of time has passed and earth is the one who decided to stay together with sam after what happened. sam has clearly grown and changed and learned from his mistake when he was open with earth about pop kissing him. now earth is the one keeping secrets. i don't see how they can get past this mess and all be on good terms afterwards.

also does anyone think that the inspector might be getting threatened as well and that's why he wants to close the case? it seemed like he was on board with the murder idea and then changed his mind really quickly
On Manner of Death Dec 8, 2020
like tan is so sus half the time but he's also acting so soft the rest of the time? like here lemme get you a cactus and make you a meal but then meet up with a man wearing all black in the middle of the night :)
On Manner of Death Dec 8, 2020
ok i'm lovin this so far. my heart says trust tan but my head isn't there yet! like how is this man always in the right place at the right time? what is his connection to pued (the similar watches, their relationship to jane, the loaded stare in this past ep)? how is he emotionally okay and ready to move on to another relationship when his gf literally just got murdered? why did he ride off on the motorcycle and how does he know that man at the end of ep 3? i have so many questions ahhh
