I was really looking forward to watch this( love PMY) but read that this has cheating and exes, that I really…
The exes are a major part of the show. It looks like the remorseful cheater trope is going to play a huge part as we predicted. Both of them are having remorseful thoughts already, it’s only a matter of time before they both try to get back with the ones they’ve cheated on who will have moved on and choose each other in the end leaving the cheaters in the dust. Predictable but still watchable. There isn’t much sadness but it’s not a fun watch either, more just relationship conflict and career focused. It’s nothing like 2521, if you’re expecting that.
At first when I watched trailers I didn't think I'd like this, among other things the cinematography didn't appeal to me in the trailers, I thought it would be one of those obnoxiously overexposed dramas which get on my nerves to look at.
I'm pleasantly surprised that the cinematography has turned out to be one of the best things about this drama IMO, many scenes when FL is in the gym training something about the shots, lighting and ambiance are so gorgeous it feels like you can almost smell and feel the sun going down on a humid summer day... almost like visual ASMR.
This will definitely turn out to be one of the best of the year for me if it continues at the pace it is.
It always seems like the dramas I'm not expecting to like are the ones that take me by surprise and are crazy good. I was waiting forever for that "other" drama that premiered which is turning out to be a letdown for me... this one I didn't think I'd like but it's turned out to be amazing.
Still wish yoon park had been cast as ML, the scene in beginning of episode 2 was sizzling with something between them, even though it was a negative scene, just something intangible. Yoon park has always been great at intensity and PMY is queen of chemistry...In that scene I could just tell their chemistry would have been fire if he was ML
Not sure how I feel about the first episode. As predicted so far there's a heavy emphasis on their routine work, which doesn't do it for me. Hoping it's just trying to introduce us to their job and they'll start focusing more on characterization and some kind of romantic tension in the plot. Maybe I'm expecting too much
