Yep that's the exact impression I got from them casually mentioning she was a virgin at her age. That comment seemed really unnecessary. If they provide some backstory later it would make sense but if not it's like it was put there just to make the FL still appear "clean" for the ML which is repulsive.

I think the biggest problem I'm having with this drama is it was advertised as a romcom when it's much more academia and mystery focused so far. Romance seems on the back burner in all 4 episodes I've watched so far.

Why is a man supposed to look "ethereal"? Asia needs to get away from that feminized male idol look already, it's toxic and unrealistic, and not even sexy imo. He looks like a healthy man, that's sexy not looking skinny and "ethereal"

Same. I'm worried about what's happening to dramas especially over the last year or two. Seems quantity over quality is taking over and writers aren't putting in as much effort. Rare to find well written and tension-filled plots anymore.

I wouldn't say it's that lowering the rating for sure. Imo the first two episodes were very slow and people might be rating based on that.

I am fully aware virgins at 50 exist. I said the only problem was it's not exactly realistic, which it's not. It is uncommon. Look up their percentages...minuscule. And when it's placed in a drama like this it's a little outlandish because you can just tell it's placed there just to make her character more appealing to the audience. If they're going for an older FL, the writer should be bold enough to have had her realistically having been through several relationships before, unless there is a deeper reason for her to not have been. I'm not getting that from this drama, they just mentioned her virginity at her age as a side quip like a joke.

I hadn't calculated her age in the show but I know the actress is almost 50. I assumed they casted her appropriately to reflect her character and her age...I can't see her passing for in her 30s.
